In regards to the Controller extension suggestion, I asked the ST and they said that it isn't a priority at the moment. They told us that if we want something added to scratch in a timely manner, we need to develop it ourselves and make a PR to the GitHub Repo. I'm assuming the same applies to this suggestion too. More details here

Bringing this topic up - I agree with RobotChickens that we're probably on our own, and I'm bumping this to bring to this topic the attention of any intersted JS/CSS programmers out there, professional-level or just starting out. (I for one would be happy to help, but I'm in the middle of some super weird times right now and all I have is a trusty old laptop and very limited time.) I'm not an expert on CSS but I've been using and learning JavaScript for almost two years and I'm fairly confident that I could contribute.

I use JavaScript, I just don't know Git so I don't have a GitHub account Bringing this topic up - I agree with RobotChickens that we're probably on our own, and I'm bumping this to bring to this topic the attention of any intersted JS/CSS programmers out there, professional-level or just starting out. I've been using JavaScript for 2-3 years, and I've also been the person to create this topic so I'd be glad to help

I don't think it's very hard - give each sprite a “cursor” value like the already existing ones and change the renderer to use it via CSS.
