I don't see the point. Would this change anything about the forum post if it has more likes? There's no trending for forum posts…

Yeah, the difference between a project love and a forum post love is that project loves are visible. So, other Scratchers can see you thought a project was good, and they can check it out for themselves. Forum posts, on the other hand, would be strange. I'm assuming forum post loves don't appear in the “What I've been doing” tab. (If there was, then literally no one would check it. There are no users out there who decide to say, “Hey, y'know what? I'm gonna start binge-reading hundreds of forum posts in people's WIBDs!” That just doesn't happen.) I don't see the point. Would this change anything about the forum post if it has more likes? There's no trending for forum posts…
And as I mentioned in the post preceding yours, there would be a lot of ambiguity concerning just how this would function.

tbh I believe this could solve the whole “support” spam issue, as thered be no reason to say “support” anymore unless you give a reason. While this wont add anything else, simply getting rid of this spam would be great.

Does not make sense, and won’t fit the purpose of scratch. It would be very weird if people would go around asking for hearts, when they are meant to be discussing stuff. Then people would say, “ok, I loved this topic!” more often, when people are not meant to say they did. This may not make sense to you though, Why can't you ask for loves?

I had a similar idea (I was going to suggest it but then I saw this one) where you can ‘agree’ with posts. Instead of quoting a post to agree with it, you can like the post, or agree with it. It could be a little thumbs up or just a button you click that says ‘agree.’ On the post, it could say “10 people agree with this post.” It would be helpful calculating around how many people support a suggestion, too.

Support. Ocular might be blocked for some people so this could provide an alternative to its reaction feature.

Absolute support, thankfully I used the directory to check this already existed. There are many times I've wanted to let someone know I've seen their post and like it, but I don't want to just say “Nice post” or “LOL”. And in those cases, I don't have anyway to respond. Same thing for letting someone know I read the post. For example, on my profile;
An old feature of my signature was a “social virus”, where I replaced part of my signature and said that if someone sees it they should change their signature to add it. Later removed because it was just cluttering it, hopefully that virus doesn't come back to bite me.I wanted to show that I saw your comment but didn't know what to say I have the signature vi rus

This would be used as a “ballot box” for supports which is already a bad system, I don't think it should be added. For the other forums maybe? but definitely not suggestions.
Also, what would happen if someone posted something bad and other people liked it? how would that be stopped and dealt with?

1. Different forums already have different rules. For example, some let you close your own topics, others don't. I can't see why having it disabled in suggestions would be a problem. (maybe also disable it on first posts?) This would be used as a “ballot box” for supports which is already a bad system, I don't think it should be added. For the other forums maybe? but definitely not suggestions.

2. People share bad projects, and other people like them sometimes. The ST does nothing then, since it doesn't really harm anyone. I can't see why they should have a different policy to that on the forums.

Support, the projects have it, so the forum posts should too. Although i would want to see it first on comments.
