Intro section on Explore?
They're still animations.Yeah, but that's, like, the first intro in Explore in two weeks? (and the one by @porishead7) And that intro isn't on the “animations” page. There is an intro on #4 in overall.Platformers are games. Everybody knows that. However, intros are a little harder to perceive as animations… which you can see by clicking the “animations” section. Intros? None, not even after clicking the load more button 10 times. See, this is what I mean. Add intros into “animations” or make a separate section. Fair?Search up “platformer.” See how many results you get. Then come back and edit your post.search up “intro.” see how many results you get. Then come back and edit your post. Also, outros are pretty much the same as intros, so the two could just be added together No support.
The section would be overtaken by animations due to there not being enough intros. Also, wouldn't there be a ton of suggestions for adding outros?
They are but they are more different, which is why we have this suggestion

I'm not disagreeing that intros aren't animation.
What I am saying is their purpose is, most of the time, different from animations.

Intro section on Explore?
As it stands now, each of the categories are somewhat different from each other. That's why “Games” is one of the categories. What is a game a type of? I don't know. If making intros isn't a completely different activity than making an animation, then it's kinda debatable whether there should be some form of a section for it.
Although, if we had a subcategory for Animations, that would be a great fit for it! Since an intro is a type of animation, I do think we should keep them in the Animations section for now, and then if we ever have subcategories, then intros may very well deserve their own subcategory.

Slightly disagree
Intros have a different purposes than most animations

Prove it. Animations is a bunch of costumes. Intros? pure motion design, with tons of programming involved. They're still animations.

1. Intros involve programming and motion design whereas animations only require costumes I realize that. Can you provide to me five good reasons why intros are not the same as animations?
2. Intros have different purposes than animations - can't we just say that games are animations as well since most of them involve animations? Yes, but it is for a different purpose. Same with intros.
3. Intros don't show any story line, unlike animations, which show some sort of story line, enough to make a difference.
4. the rest is here and here
5. compare the two articles and note any major differences (other than that they both involve motion)

EDIT: Sorry for the misunderstanding ^^^^ but as for your answer, can't we just search up “games” then do the same thing? And with animations? Oh, and with music and art….. so…. why not intros?

Animation is a method in which figures are manipulated to appear as moving images.
the technique of photographing successive drawings or positions of puppets or models to create an illusion of movement when the movie is shown as a sequence.
1. Intros involve programming and motion design whereas animations only require costumes
As I've already proved, that doesn't make it not an animation. 3. Intros don't show any story line, unlike animations, which show some sort of story line, enough to make a difference.

If intro belongs in animation,
then why is animation mostly filled with stories or plot projects?

Probably because some people like the animations there more than intros. If intro belongs in animation,
then why is animation mostly filled with stories or plot projects?
Still doesn't change the fact that intros are animations.
The UIs have animations, but they aren't just an animation. Intros, however, are literally just animations. More complex, but still just animations.Click the links to the websites. As I've already proved, that doesn't make it not an animation.

With a different meaning.
Still doesn't change the fact that most animations are stories. If intro belongs in animation,
then why is animation mostly filled with stories or plot projects?
Sorry for the wrong quote

I don't know why so many people think intros are animations. Sure, they are. Everything on a computer screen is. But in animations (in scratch context) animations are things moving around with a basic story line in it, people speaking (not necessarily). Intros are for starting out your Scratch project with some nice motion designs. The UIs have animations, but they aren't just an animation. Intros, however, are literally just animations. More complex, but still just animations.
EDIT:. Also, a lot of people are ignoring the fact that when you scroll down in the animations tab, you don't see any intros. So if so many people are saying intros are animations, why aren't any in the “animations” tab? So, if not intros having their own unique and independent place for themselves, then at least put them in the “animations” section.

An intro cannot be a seprate project for there is nothing to introduce. If they are not true intros then they should not have their own separate category.Prove it. Animations is a bunch of costumes. Intros? pure motion design, with tons of programming involved. They're still animations.
