Intro section on Explore?
No support, in general new scratchers and random 7 year olds without an account are unlikely to know what an intro is, and unlike other tabs (stories, games, animations) which are all prevalent forms of media on other sites, intros are mainly a scratch-specific thing.
Intros are in no way scratch specific.

Intro section on Explore?
They may not know it, or know many other things, but there are MANY scratchers who like inrtos. No support, in general new scratchers and random 7 year olds without an account are unlikely to know what an intro is, and unlike other tabs (stories, games, animations) which are all prevalent forms of media on other sites, intros are mainly a scratch-specific thing. I've been on Scratch for a year while alternating accounts, and while alternating accounts, my interests have switched too. Currently I am making intros, and as all other intro makers think, we all want an intro section on trending. Take a look. There are thousands of intros out there on Scratch, possibly more than some of the sections on Explore trending (like music). Therefore, I think that an intro section should be added to Explore. (By the way, please tell me if this is a dupe)
For Those of You Who Think Intros Are Animations, Read This First
Scroll down the animations page, and see how many intros you see. Want to say anything about that now?
Intros are “A scratch-specific thing”

Intro section on Explore?
That's actually a really good point. Many users already tag their games (for example) with “art” and “music” since their games i dont know if this has been brought up or not, but adding a section for intros would likely lead to it being flooded with users who have an intro in their project tagging their project with intro even though its not specifically an intro. which means your new tag would end up being flooded with projects you wanted it seperated from. even if enough projects were being made daily for this section, theyd be drowned out by more popular projects that arent dedicated to being intros.technically contain art and music (but the project is really a game at heart). Since many games and animations already have an intro at the beginning, Scratchers will feel compelled to put the “intro” tag on their project, so the “Intro” section in Explore would naturally contain games and animations. (By “animation,” I mean the type of animation that could not be classified as solely an intro.)
That might not even be due to the fact that some Scratchers want as many tags as possible for their projects — some may genuinely think that their game could belong in the “Intro” section since it has an intro in it (not understanding what an “Intro” project really is). Although the Scratch Team sometimes sends alerts if a project has unrelated tags, I don't think an argument could be made that a game with an intro in it should not have the tag #Intro. Technically, such a game does have an intro, so the tag is not irrelevant.
The arguments that others have made stating that the intro community is not “popular” or “large” enough (assuming this is true) would make this a bigger problem, unfortunately. If more games with intros in them are being made than pure intro projects, then the pure intro projects would not be a majority of those found on the Explore page. (Already I see mostly games in the “Music” section, so I worry that an “Intro” section would face a similar fate…)

Intro section on Explore?
Yeah… that actually is a good point. I haven't quite thought about that…. but then again, why is the “music” tab still there, if it is useless since many games are drowning out the original music projects? Same with art. But if games do drown out the possible section of “intros” on trending, it would still be great since games are technically still denoting intros. I still have to get familiar with the confusing world of tags……That's actually a really good point. The thing is, there are many possible and true arguments to the suggestion of putting intro sections on trending. But the thing is, we motion designers…. just want a sense of independence on Scratch where we can share all our hard work for something. I know, to some of you, that may sound selfish, but know that us intro-makers aren't doing it for ourselves.
So if not intro's own independent tags, why not under “animations?” (since animations are less popular than games and intros have a lesser possibility of being drowned out by animations….)
warning: cringe offtopicness below
so why not create a filterbot system that keeps the right tags in check? /j
