Why is the Homestuck topic still open then? It has tons of bad language and stuff.
As long as they don't link to/discuss directly about the non-appropriate things from Homestuck, I guess it's okay.

Not according to that quote above. If that's true, they they should change the rules.

By “have discussions” it means talk about. I don't see why you couldn't talk about anything else in that show. It's like Family Guy. You could say “remember the episode where peter has to get his shirt back from the dry cleaners and its not there?” and that would not be innapropriate or disrespectful. But if you mentioned something innapropriate from the show, It would be reported and deleted, but not the discussion.

Can you please reopen the Pokemon Gen V topic? The Mystery Dungeon one is Pokemon, so it should be in the main Pokemon topic. If that one can stay separate, the Gen V topic should be reopened.

Actually, it can't stay separate, it will be closed down with a redirect to the main Pokemon thread.

It's OK, Mystery Dungeon has been shut.

I'm just asking this because of the confusion about the rule, but would it be OK to discuss Pacific Rim as long as everyone didn't mention:
  • The one use of strong language
  • and the death caused by Gipsy Danger, Striker Eureka, Cherno Alpha… exploding/being ripped apart by Kaiju?

I'd love to discuss Pacific Rim. And yes.

I don't understand the “this subforum is for things you find inspiring” thing. Maybe I find bad fanfiction inspiring. In the Bad Fanfiction thread, no one was expressing hatred, they just were laughing and having a good time.

There needs to be a rejected list of topics for this forum. Or maybe explain the guidelines more thoroughly, such as discussing “mature” material without actually discussing the “bad stuff”.

Not being able to discuss school? This is getting outrageous. I don't know why after 600 replies, our school thread had to be closed. I would like to know an explanation for this, and not just the usual canned reply of “not a topic for this board sorry make a project about it”.

Comics are something you read, so starting a topic about the Charlie Brown comics is okay.

Am I missing something here? My NFL Picks topic was closed; the moderator said it had become too much of a game, and told me to refer to the forum guidelines. I have been scouring them for over five minutes trying to find something about forum games, and am not seeing anything.

If I broke the rules, I'm not upset that the topic was closed. I'm just looking for some clarification

At the bottom of the guidelines, it says “Please use the Text-Based Games Forums for all text-based games (including role-playing games). Thanks!”. Any thread topics that are designed like a game are counted as text-based games. Since your topic was designed like a guessing game, it was seen as a text-based game, which is why the topic got closed.

leniency plz?

(also why did it get closed at 30+ pages, and not the start?)

Oh, alright. The moderator didn't provide any links or anything; I got a bit confused.
