Idea for an OC Creator!
the whole point of the suggestion forums is to get non scratch team opinions before the scratch team approves or disapproves, which they will most likely do also in this forum coder2045, I asked the SCRATCH TEAM, not you. No offense. And, just because OC's arent the point of Scratch does not mean we cant have an easier way to make them. You know what else isnt the point of Scratch? Designs. Yet, it seems to me like the Scratch Team has created a studio SPECIFICALLY designated to DESIGNS and DESIGNING THINGS, and creating projects with different unique DESIGNS.
Also, if you dont support me, thats fine. I didnt really ask for anyone to support me, just for the Scratch Team to consider, and since you are not on the Team, im fine with you not supporting me.

No support, just use [], or the many other existing oc makers on scratch, or…. you could just use a base from Deviantart and draw over that
It doesn't need to be SUPER unique, just… good enough

Why are you suggesting a site with suggestive advertisements, this is Scratch… No support, just use aslong as you're avoiding all the suggestive ads on that site, or the many other existing oc makers on scratch, or…. you could just use a base from Deviantart and draw over that
It doesn't need to be SUPER unique, just… good enough

No support, this sorta defeats the pourpose of Scratch. Plus, you already have tons of resources.

Yes, and by having these programs that, basically, pre-build your creation for you, with limited styles and assets, you can't really do that. How does this "defeat the pourpose [sic[ of Scratch"? Anyways, how would this work in the first place? It'd have to be very complicated to change things based on the style, and you'd need so many assets for this. If you want this, just make a project or something on it.

You can also use a pre-existing sprite from the Sprite Library as your OC. No support, use the sprite editor

Isn't that just recoloring? Sometimes with some “ I'll turn your OC into this ” or “ Rating OCS ” Projects, they do not allow recolors or pre-existing sprites used as OCs.You can also use a pre-existing sprite from the Sprite Library as your OC. No support, use the sprite editor

It's not recolouring if you're taking it from the Sprite Library. But if it's someone else's drawing that they painted brown and green or whatever, and didn't give credit or ask for permission, then it's reportable.

Well that's exactly what an OC generator is supposed to do, right? There are many generators to pick from, so you aren't really limited if you choose something unofficial on Scratch. I mean, ~snip IceCreamTub's response~look at all these choices!
There are already avatar makers on scratch, as in your words, the avatar maker projects basically pre-build the creation for you and you just basically just choose the options…
Again, OC generators aren't going to fit your exact criteria for what you want your OC to look like. That's what they mean by “good enough”Also, what do you mean by “good enough”? adoptables, animations, art, role-playing, and basically the community.Scratch is supposed to be mostly an open-ended way of expressing your creativity. Things like animation, art, and role-playing isn't what Scratch is supposed to hold your hands with. If they were to support an official OC generator, what part of that would be creative? It would discourage using a Scratch project, which can adapt many different themes. And you know what else isn't the point of scratch?

No Support, OCs aren't the point, that's why there's a drawing tool, and, you could just use some scratch profile picture maker and make the body yourself, plus, some profile pictures people have would be pixelated for a face. Scratch On!

So? This OC maker would still have many options to choose from, with more being added, even by some other users 5% Support.
Well, firstly, OCs aren't the point of Scratch.
A creator would be so limited,
This bugs me, And they would have to get the permissions of the animators…there is NO such thing as art *style* theft
I read your message, but you do realize that there are such things as “ Rating OCs ” or “ Doing something to your OCs ” projects? If you don't, basically you send in your OC, then the original project creator evaluates your own OC by looking at the rules carefully, if they do follow the criteria for the service, then the original project creator will remix the remix to complete the service that the OC maker asked for. Please re-read that.Isn't that just recoloring? Sometimes with some “ I'll turn your OC into this ” or “ Rating OCS ” Projects, they do not allow recolors or pre-existing sprites used as OCs.You can also use a pre-existing sprite No support, use the sprite editorfrom the Sprite Library as your OC.
It's not recolouring if you're taking it from the Sprite Library.
And you know, the service the user provides will most likely have a terms of service. It may include the basics, which are that the user won't remix OCs that break the scratch TOS, but some of the more specific rules is that they wouldn't do the service for OCs that were just from the sprite library.
