It sounds like a good idea. I, however, doubt in whether the Scratch Team has the resources to “switch” through linked accounts. I don't think that the software even exists at all, and as seen through the “recycle usernames” suggestion (partially why it was rejected), the Scratch Team needs resources to add something onto Scratch.

Your idea isn't bad, don't get me wrong.

I'm just saying I don't think it's possible at the moment.

Yes I do, if someone hacks one account both can get banned or hackers can access both accounts

Then this defeats the entire purpose of the suggestion, as if you have autofill for signing in (but not entering your password for things like permanently deleting the trash, which is normal), it will be faster to sign out and sign back in than typing out your password (assuming you have a long password, which you should).

Since this was brought back up a couple days ago, I can feel good about posting this and not necroposting.

I am NOT SUPPORTING, but I have a couple things to add. If these are incorporated and some other convincing ideas come along, I will consider SUPPORTING.

Added Security Measures:

Enter Username. Enter password. Scratch will check if emails are the same. If so, the request will go through. This makes it so nobody with a different email registered can link. This makes it so only the same people can link together.

All Comments made on a project before being shared will be visible after the project is shared (I don't know how to get around the fact that some projects may not be shared…) AND CANNOT BE DELETED, in order to discourage private messaging.

Scratcher Status Needed on Both accounts.

Added Features:

Being able to see projects not posted (mainly for cloud game tests without sharing.)

Being able to transfer projects once, in order to facilitate account moves and such. (PS. I know about the Import/Export feature and the backpacking sprites feature, but I would like a much faster way to do it..)

I am up to debate about other features….

Like I said before, it's already really easy to switch accounts quite quickly if you have autofill, and I tend to always know what account I'm on because it says it right in the corner. Always. And to prove how quick it is, I will switch accounts now.

Boom! Just a few seconds. Most of my time was spent writing this and choosing what account I wanted.

I would like to keep this argument not heated. Those are the only benefits I can come up with right now. One crucial key (that by itself is not enough to merit this change) is that test accounts will be able to see projects not shared yet by their counterparts. This is useful in a cloud variable test. This example cannot be worked around by having one account. However, I have changed my mind and decided NO SUPPORT until more benefits are found. Then, I will give SUPPORT.
