- based on the katipo spider and phoenix
- mainly red and black colours
- has spiderweb wings!
- hair can light on fire when she's feeling strong emotion
- sometimes wears a plague-doctor-esque phoenix beak mask (to stop her breathing in smoke)
- leaves a trail of smoke and ash behind her

my spidersona will be here… soon lol, but would it be okay if I added my service dog? she's very sweet, and I think if I was entering the Spiderverse, she'd want to come along it's okay if it's too much to illustrate, but I think it'd be cool to have her along

first of all are we all good with the cabin atmosphere? I'm too lazy to go find it but it's like at the bottom of page one :>

second, Ave and Cat, are you good with Ave doing the major villains and Cat doing the minor? Since school's starting up for Ave and she won't have as much time I'm thinking we design all the villains and she can draw them soon and then the minor villains are drawn at a camper's request once the session starts if that makes sense. Cat you wouldn't have to go all out on the art of anything, just whatever you're comfortable doing multiple times; this could be a fullbody or a bust or whatever <3 let me know if this works for you guys!!

which means we need 1-3 more, depending on how well campers are completing their challenges (we need to come up with those too sklfjdjkfls) and also if we're doing the polar bear :>

wait, wasn't Mouse supposed to be Dr. Skyler? so that's one more? and ooh, what if there was like- a sewer kangaroo :0 or like- a ghost kangaroo :00 idk I just love kangaroos rn for some reason- but a sewer kangaroo would be e p i c tho, instead of a rat
for challenges, one session I saw a crossword puzzle being used? everyone worked together to solve it, and when they did they got to move on. there are also some basic ciphers I know of, (box codes with shuffled letters is what I'm thinking, thanks Stuart Gibbs) and we could do “write 250 words to reveal a letter in the box” or something similar.
or you could mean something totally different by challenges, which is fine too ;D

can we finalise the arson villain :pleading: i think i said somewhere earlier that the arson villain (me!!) could have a bomb made of explosive mangoes or something, as an activity the campers could try to defuse this? like they have to figure out what colour wires get cut in which order—there could be colour-related clues/riddles that they have to solve to figure this out?

i love the idea of a dragon villain, are we still up for finalising this? personally i think we should add something unique to it, since we already have other dragons (mouse, the mascot)—any ideas for this?
as for the corresponding activity for campers to defeat it, perhaps its hoarding something (gold? motivation mangoes?) and the campers need to strike a deal with it (through rp, perhaps?) to get this back? or they could try to navigate the maze of its lair? idk this is just brainstorming ahaha

villains

I've done the math and if all goes well we're going to have 5 major villains, one every 5 days starting the 6th, and one backup in case something happens.
1: Arson Villain! I love the defusing a bomb thing, perhaps they have to solve puzzles to defuse the bomb and then write something to track the villain down–in a firey battle their mask comes off and oh it's Ave :0000 this one would probably be somewhere in the last few sets of villains :>
2: Dragon Villain! Wait actually building hype about this mightly powerful scary dragon and then coming in and it's small and green and kinda cute but then it's just as powerful as the stories say XD I love the idea of it hoarding mangoes, perhaps they are motivation mangoes and campers need to get them back to defeat the villain–and they choose to negotiate because they don't fancy dragonfire. The dragon wants to start collecting words so it makes campers write some things from prompts and eventually decides motivated campers are far better than unmotivated ones and gives the mangoes back, deciding to help out the campers!
WAIT GUYS WHAT IF what if the villain was the mascot? and after it gets defeated it starts helping us out? It can be hte first villain so it can help throughout the session and also so the writing prompts happen during cabin wars ;D
3: Pirate Villain! I love the idea of battleships omg yes!! That will fs take up the 5 days so it's perfect <3
4: Incorporeal Villain! A kind of ghosty thing that is hard to see and impossible to hit, campers have to figure out how to defeat something that they can't touch ✨ (perhaps they have to write a persuasive piece to get it to go away? or some poems? or both?)
5: Sewer Kangaroo! A kangaroo would actually be so silly I love it XD we can have the sewer set up like a maze with puzzles and campers ahve to get through it to find and capture the knagaroo?
6: Polar Bear! This is our backup, in case campers complete an activity in like 0.2 seconds or is Zai joins our cabin :> campers have to take away its lasagna by writing up elaborate plans to be sneaky, and then it becomes a nice polar bear and listens to them!

- pirate has a cool looking sword, red hair, and a really cool outfit–perhaps a smarlls reference or two? >;3
- arson villain can be anything, maybe a little mango inspired, just don't make it obvious it's you <3
- incorporeal villain I'm just thinking like vague blue smudges lol you fs have a better idea XD
- sewer kangaroo has like sludge and plants on it, especially on its head and arms, and maybe has something silly in its pouch like a radio or a plant or a villain tool or something
- polar bear is a polar bear idk

I'd like to have the comic kind of central to the plotline, which means there will be quite a few to draw–but don't worry, you won't have to put your biggest efforts into it <3
Here are the initial comics I'm planning to have:
1: Cabin trailer type thing, introducing Dr Skyler and how the campers ended up together
2: The battle with the Dragon Villain, highlighting the campers that helped the most with the challenge and showing the dragon deciding to join us if we're doing that :>
2: The Pirate Villain battle, same as above, with my unmasking at the end
3: Silly Sewer Kangaroo chase and battle
4: Dramatic Arson Battle complete with dramatic Ave Reveal!!!
5: Incorporeal Villain Battle
6: Fixing the collider and going home <3
and if anyone wants to be extra they could do the polar bear one :>

I played around with colour palettes a little, it might not be quite what you were envisioning but thoughts on these? they'll need a bit of adjustment i think but i was just trying things out <3

I think there should be some villains we can easily take out, in case campers are less active than we'd like—i think the arson, dragon, and pirate are all pretty important for the storyline, but i think we should be prepared to take out the sewer kangaroo just in case (as it doens't have much storyline importance, and it makes sense with the schedule to remove it if campers seem to be doing the challenges slowly), and if absolutely necessary the incorporeal villain as well. i think we should just see how the campers go with the challenges, and have the option of slowing the storyline down depending on how actively they participate.
