Add the lil’ banner at the bottom of the Community Guidelines back
(#11)yes pls cat's the best i crashed out when i saw they actually removed it during the 3.0 revamp thing
Support. When I joined, I loved the cat so much. I remember being around 7, creating my first account (now lost), seeing the cat, and dragging my parents over to my computer so they could see the cat. My first projects all revolved around that cat and his friends, all because of this screen. Support :3
i was really sad when this happened

but even better, use this one https://greencuby.com/spritesforcommunityguid2.svg

NOOO WHY DID THEY REMOVE THEM?
Support.
Also a little unrelated but I think instead of going for this new “corporate clean” artstyle with the modern stuff they should keep with something more faithful to how the mascots are drawn. I just think it adds a lot of charm and identity to the site's look.

Yeah, I didn't wanna say it but it seems theyre going the modern minimalistic “modern” look, which looked a bit too moderny even for 3.0. If we're adding it back, we could still bring it back with the suggestion in the post above you, that used the 3.0 versions of the sprites NOOO WHY DID THEY REMOVE THEM?

You think the illustrated CGs look minimalist? I'd say for a modern website the page is surprisingly practical - information isn't hard to find for the sake of design, and the design isn't overwhelming. The CGs are meant to be clear, not an art piece. -

To me it looks clean, not corporate or minimal.
That said, I do agree with this suggestion as a whole - the characters have a certain welcoming and friendly feeling that generic illustrations don't. I see no harm in returning them.

Yeah I think it gets the point across a lot better than other “modern” artstyles. But my post was more about it being a stylistic thing rather than practical. And yeah, it was a bit less than a suggestion (more just like a hope) because redrawing them would take extra work. You think the illustrated CGs look minimalist? I’ll make that Support. I miss this! I joined on the day it changed, so there was a few hours before the change, and I remember liking seeing all of the “weird things” (I thought back then) at the bottom of the page. There are six rules and six characters, maybe each rule could be symbolized by a character, with all of them still at the bottom of the page like before?
EDIT: I posted this before I saw @Jerlad7382's post, I wasn't stealing the idea XD

There is nothing useful, no reason why it should be added, no image, no nothing. it's literally just blank with the link to this topic. Looks like you didn't even test anything. same with all other PRs you made. it legit looks like you're just dying to get that “contributor” role on the scratch page, with completely useless changes and the same format as this one. How? Explain.https://github.com/scratchfoundation/scratch-www/pull/9131This is hella unprofessional especially on something like scratch Done!
Compared to a proper PR it's paragraphs of text while yours just have like 10 words

https://github.com/scratchfoundation/scratch-www/pull/9131Making a pull request doesn't mean anything has happened , so saying that this is ‘done’ isn't really correct. Done!
And img tags don't work like that.
To reiterate my stance on this suggestion - I see no harm in putting the banner back - the current page is certainly not bad, but it without the banner it doesn't have nearly the same friendliness about it.

?? I'm not trying to abuse the system, plus for the terms.jsx thing, does it really need a testing? It's just a text change. Does the color changs need testing? No because it is just a color change! There is nothing useful, no reason why it should be added, no image, no nothing. it's literally just blank with the link to this topic. Support; the banner was iconic, glad they didn't remove the image upload for it
