Haha this is my first time looking at Scratch forums lol! But I think rap is my most listened to genre! I mostly only listen to music when I run or work out so I choose fast-paced rap for that. I love kendrick, but everyone calls him corny now, which is sad because I was a huge fan before all the rap beef and before Not Like Us got overplayed…I like his unreleased song Prayer, but now that's getting Tiktok'ified… I also love MF DOOM, and all his aliases, King geedorah esp. Fazers, JJ DOOM, and all his collab albums! Love Madvillain too! I used to like Tyler but Chromakopia really disappointed me and his fan base annoyed the heck out of me (not everyone, but the loudest ones y'know) so I sortaaa stopped listening but I still think a lot of his songs are good. I like Kanye's music but he's done for. Honestly, he should just release Never See Me Again and disappear from the spotlight (but mb apologize before that then leave) My favorite album of his is def late registration!
There's more but I don't wanna yap too much XD
tbh Kanye should retired after donda

Donda was unlistenable LOL.
He should've honestly retired after Jesus is King so his image at least would have been saved

DONDA WAS UNLISTENABLE??
HOMIE THATS LIKE ONE OF MY FAV KANYE ALBUMS

nah like i don't get the donda hate like what do yall not like abt it?
I take it back. I wouldn't say unlistenable. I would say it is too long and repetitive with not a lot of relisten value, especially when you compare it to Kanye's other albums. I guess from a different rapper I would let it slide but this is Kanye, the same guy who made glorious albums like College Dropout, Late Registration, Graduation, MBDTF, 808s, Yeezus, just to name a few, and heck even Watch The Throne, the one everyone called mid, I thoroughly enjoyed over Donda.

i think donda is bloated, but repetitive? imo not. like u got songs like believe what i say, jail, and come to life. yeah there are songs like junya and jonah which are kinda repetitive lowk, but i dont think its that repetitive overall. but i agree college dropout, late registration, graduation, mbdtf, 808s and yeezus are better. watch the throne hasn't aged well at all and i liked donda much more over it. imo. donda is a 7/10 imo

I respect your opinion. I think I may just not be too into the sound, as well as everyone associating the Donda era and onward as the point Kanye started going downhill as a person. On a different note, what was ya'll's thoughts on ye? (the album) I really liked a lot of the songs but there was only a few parts I didn't really like

I agree with your guys takes, I agree it’s too long and repetitive, and I don’t get the hate for WTT I love it, there’s a lot of gems there which people don’t talk about

my favorites from donda is junya and pure souls

I agree also that Kanye has much better albums which is why vultures 2 and donda are the worst for me

Also I really don’t like jail. how are you gonna list not repetitive donda songs then say ‘jail’ it’s literally the most repetitive Kanye song

Edit: im not into the sound of the album either lol, anyone else feel like there’s too many organs (the instrument) in the songs

imma rank the songs on Goblin by Tyler, The Creator, since people seem to be talking Abt it rn. I personally think it's tyler's worst album, but it has some good songs

Goblin - 5/10 (whole song is kinda repetitive and the beat is very non interesting, but the wordplay is cool)
Yonkers - 8/10 (great song all around, but doesn't do enough to get anything past an 8)
Radicals - 6/10 (way too aggressive and repetitive, but his flow on the verses are really good)
She - 9/10 (overall a more polished song on the album, and least aggressive, and Tyler's verses are sick too. Frank Ocean feature as well.)
Transylvania - 7/10 (good production and flow, but the deep voice just throws me off)
Nightmare - 7/10 (Its good, but nothing about it really stands out at all
Tron Cat - 8/10 (one of my main problems about this album as a whole is that a lot of the production sounds the same. this is one of the better tracks but it still falls victim to that)
Her - 8/10 (again, one of the better tracks, and the production is great, but the flow and energy of the whole song is kind of boring)
Sandwitches - 9/10 (Probably my fav song off the album, one of the most all around interesting songs on this album.)
Fish - 2/10 (bro this song is wild,i'm sorry, i've been overlooking the lyrics but this song is just insane, and it's not just the lyrics that are bad, this song is just all-around atrocious, nothing in this song works at all)
Analog - 8/10 (production is a lot better than the rest of the album but the flow is kinda weird)
B.S.D - 7/10 (its okay, but just very similar to the rest of the album)
Window - 6/10 (the song just drags on for so long and isn't really interesting at all, and the verses that are pretty good are really short)
AU73 - Instrumental/10 (this track always * me off because its easily the best production on the whole album and he just uses it as an instrumental?? like bro, RAP ON THIS!!!)
Golden - 6/10 (just too aggressive at the end)
Burger - 7/10 (I love the flow on this song but the synth in the song does NOT fit the song)
Untitled 63 - Instrumental/10 (same thing with AU73 but not as good, like bro just rap on it)
Steak Sauce - 7/10 (its okay, same problems I have with most of the album)

overall: 6/10

My main problem with Goblin is that it's all very similar in sound, and it's not a particularly great sound. for this I did a semi-relisten, I just skimmed through the songs, because its been a while since I first listened. if you like this kind of music, cool, but Tyler's Music abilities undoubtedly improved a lot

after this I think I might do this with Tyler's other albums, and any other albums I think of.
