A canvas for studio thumbnails

How it will work:
When you click “edit thumbnail” button on a studio, two options will appear.
1. “Upload File”
2. “Open Scratch Canvas”

Then if they click “Open Scratch Canvas” Scratch will open up a blank sheet for the users to draw their thumbnail.

Features it'll have:
•Change Colors.
•Some of the color features from the costume editor in the project editor. Like size of the paint brush.
•Backpack (It will only show Costume/Sprite things.(it will hide sounds and other things that are not costume/sprite related.)
•Other things

I drew a thumbnail in vector and scratch returned an svg, which they coincidentally don't support(before you say ‘swap to bitmap’ it'd make stuff even more pixelated which I hate), so I had to screenshot it and upload that way which made it low quality, stinks alot still…

Support because I don't like having to download images or use images from storage.

Mostly support, because I think it's a nice concept, though I suspect it would probably be a low-priority implementation compared with other features.

That said, maybe this could also encourage better moderation of what users are setting as thumbnails in general and having a vector image editor might discourage people from using GIFs

Support- it's always nice to have an easier option.

Whenever I draw thumbnails for studios and I upload them in, even if I use the exact size of canvas or a scaled up version, it always becomes pixelated and trash quality and I don't know why (actually I probably do since the studio image size is miniscule).

Having an editor would allow me to properly scale my drawings or even make new ones that would fit the size perfectly,

Support, SVG files are the highest quality image file format I know, since it's not just a bunch of pixels being stored, but a script that runs and renders the image to make it smooth even when you zoom in.

What’s so bad about people using gifs as thumbnails?

Anyways, on the topic of the OP, I like this idea! Most websites don’t support uploading vector images, so it would be a plus for scratch if you could just create a thumbnail like this, not to mention text in bitmap has a really weird quality. I also hope the backpack would be in this menu too.

Anyways, on the topic of the OP, I like this idea! Most websites don’t support uploading vector images, so it would be a plus for scratch if you could just create a thumbnail like this, not to mention text in bitmap has a really weird quality. I also hope the backpack would be in this menu too.

Yeah! The backpack will be in it too. It will just hide sounds, and other things that are not sprite/costume things.

Maybe there could be an option to use a sprite's costume or the canvas as a thumbnail instead?
