I would say the difficulty is maybe 7 out of 10, but it's probably more confusing if you haven't played it before. (I made it, so I wouldn't know.)

It's a good level that makes you think a bit. Having familiarity with the concepts involved does make all the difference in its perceived difficulty, but even given that knowledge it still takes a bit of planning.

Edit: Found another bug!
wwwwrwwwwwnnnsnnnwwnnwqwnnwwnnnwnnnwwnnnnnnnwwnnnnnnnwwnnnnnnnwwnnnnnnnwwwwwwwwww
If you have the player selected in the editor, play a level, start a recursion, then go back to the editor, the player “block” in the editor will be rotated to the right. I found a similar bug in Incursion before, but I don't think this is related. In Incursion, the player will visually rotate during a paradox or recursion, and that's what was causing a bug there. Paraboxical doesn't do that, though, so I'm not sure.
Actually, I remember @dave3m saying that the shrink/grow animations in Paraboxical use rotation. That's probably what it is.

I believe so, yes (a grow animation is used in the recursion). You will find that the player rotation is fixed, depending upon which direction you grow to initiate the recursion.

A level that is technically beatable (but you have to glitch to beat it, so it doesn't really count). Hold the u key while you move up.

Because of the glitch, if you try to watch the replay, you'll get stuck in a recursion.

Hmm you certainly live up to your name, don't you

Well obviously I have to fix the glitch, so…. it's fixed. Sorry!

Don't be sorry! I like finding glitches, but too many of them can obviously be a problem. That's why I'm reporting these bugs instead of keeping them to myself.

That's pretty cool, actually. Subtitled “Where There's a Will, There's a Way”
Maybe there was some benefit to my denying spamming keypresses, after all.

You missed something else that happens with your example or any similar recursion (I mention it because it's the kind of thing that you try to do):
If you press the Home button during the Recursion, Paraboxical draws an oversized block frame around the menu level button sprites!
If you enter a progress code when this happens, it will draw the same frame around any new levels opened up.
edit: Guessing that the sprite size is implicated here, but it's interesting that it repeats this for each stamped level.

If you already released a patch, please note that I was actually still able to complete his level by using undo/move spam to get my player into illegal positions. Perhaps it is more difficult to do, now?

Edited to add:
Actually, I see another issue in the current release:
The (U)ndo and (R)eset keybinds seem to be broken if used during a Paradox animation. The buttons work.

If I push the Parabox off of the edge, when cancelling the Paradox animation (pressing either U or R) the player is drawn as a solid red square and it stops responding to movement commands. The Paradox display remains on the background under the stamped board, as well. In fact, using (R)eset, the board isn't stamped at all.

The Recursion animation does not exhibit this problem.

This was in the Editor play mode (e.g., with the level below). Perhaps it terminates a script prematurely or gets stuck in a loop that needs to be terminated? It can be corrected by pressing any of the Play/Edit button, the Undo button, or the Reset button.

Occurs for me while playing in Firefox browser.

I am also trying to remember … having my head wrapped up in Incursion for so long: were edge recursions ever a thing in Paraboxical where trying to exit the same edge as occupied by the Parabox resulted in an infinite recursion instead of preventing you from moving (#edgeStop)?

I actually did notice that, but forgot to mention it. I didn't try entering a progress code, though. That's really interesting to see.
(Also, I just confirmed that the level is possible on mobile, it's just a lot harder )

OK that was pretty horrible but I think it's fixed now.

No, I didn't realise the possibility of edge recursions until after I'd published the project, and by that point I thought it was too messy to add anything as it was complicated enough, so that's when I made them #edgestop.instead…

Hmm … I may have run into an issue with those #edgeStop detections and Engulf. On the other hand, maybe I am missing something.

In the following scenario, if I push the Parabox to the right, it will engulf all of the blocks except for the last one on the right. When I attempt to engulf the last block, it appears to instead detect an Infinite Recursion. Guessing this is because the Parabox will end up at the edge when engulfing the last block.
