Make an announcement on gun rules

Fun fact: the announcements on the front page are actually from a blog on Tumblr*. If you know where to find said blog you can find an archive of every news post made since 2013.

The announcement for cloud chat projects was not made public. The announcement for advertising and f4f was also not made public. This explains the near complete lack of spam usual in Announcements made public.

*I believe I can link to it as although it is on Tumblr, it's not really connected to the main site at all, and it is an official Scratch Team resource.

Hmm what about the FNAF one or the art theft one? I might do this is a common genre in the book

Okay thanks, and that's fine even if it's not the most open book, it's still useful to have and alot of Scratchers will end up seeing it anyway

When should this be written? Scratch's activity usually spikes in October/November, and falls in May. Should this be released when a lot of users are active to spread the word, or should it be released when not a lot of users are active? Of course you might want as many users to get this message, but this post is still a concern.

Why not sooner? If attention is an issue then we shouldn't focus on attention. The sooner it is shared, the sooner it will be easier to link it to answer questions on gun rules.

so you basically gave away the fact you reported it by informing the creator that gun projects weren't allowed. that's, yknow, the scratch team's job.
