Not going to change it as it is helpful information to improve your posts. End of discussion.
I disagree and many others disagree. I would suggest you change it to something neutral (as stickies should be neutral) like “You can use Support/No support, but you do not have to”
1. And more agree that the support convention is a bad forum practice
2. That does not tell users how to improve their posts - my current OP does
3. This topic is already stickied so the Scratch Team don’t care

1. That's debatable. I would try not to cater towards one opinion or another, but instead take a neutral stance.
2. That's an opinion. In my opinion, not using the support convention doesn't change the quality of the posts.
3. And the ST doesn't care about people using the support convention.

Support / No Support should be discouraged. It adds nothing to the discussion by itself, and sets the tone of the rest of the post with explanation.

Nice guide! It makes the rules of the forum much clearer. It's a good thing that you said that lists of suggestions weren't allowed, because that rule wasn't really enforced anywhere else except when a topic with a list of suggestions got closed by a moderator. Maybe add something about 4.0 not coming out soon, as many new forumers make suggestions for Scratch 4.0?

(Just something optional) Maybe in the OP, there should be a thing that says:
Even if you do say why you support/no support, please go into further detail why.

I don’t think I will change it for now, but I respect your opinion.

I’m not sure I want this to become a list on what suggestions you should not post, I think TOLORS does a better job doing that anyway. Furthermore, normally when someone suggest scratch 4.0 they are also suggesting new features, and those features proposed may be up for good discussion.

Good idea - I will put something like that now.

On the topic of 4.0, maybe add something about 4.0 where it shows the examples for bad titles like:

Person wrote:

Redesigns for Scratch 4.0
This is not a good title because (other things already in the post), and 4.0 will not come out any time soon.

I'm talking about having it in the title, it doesn't contribute at all to the topic thus shouldn't be there

I still believe it applies as it is discouraging scratch 4.0 suggestions, a specific suggestion (I don’t want that) and I don’t think all of those suggestions are bad as they are suggesting features to go along with it.

If they are lists they are not allowed and if it's one suggestion for Scratch 4.0 just continue it there

Firstly, you never clarified what the “support convention” is, how would new Scratchers know what that is if it is their first time posting a suggestion? Heck, I did't know what that meant till after I had 500+ posts. Objective sources are always the best, not biased ones, so this could be a more fixed article. So, I think it should probably say:
  • Most forumers discourage the use of just saying “support” or “no support,” unless you put your reason right after
Or something like that, and, perhaps explain what the support convention is?

Actually, if you could also include this sticky (Recomendations for constructive responses), that would be way better

1. Done.
2. I do not really want them reading through all that topic, but I will mention the first part of that topic as it is relevant.

Maybe you could link this where you said lists of suggestions were not allowed? I think it provides more clarity, and it also has a section that answers questions about lists of suggestions that I think would really help users.

Last year, when someone else owned this sticky, @Paddle2See* told me that my topic will unfortunately will not be stickied, but I should ask the owner of the past guide if they could link it here. So that’s what I’ll do now as well. Of course, it’s still your choice, so don’t feel like you have to.

You should add some info on derailing, what it is, why it's discouraged, and what it could do to a topic (like make it closed).

I agree. This would really help a bunch of users, because I see plenty of users argue over little things that barely have to do with the topic.

I probably should but just not sure how I would implement it. I am worried it will make users stop referencing/comparing another suggestion on a topic.
