Hot take: Roy is the most horribly balanced character in the game.
He is super fast, powerful, and has strong combos along with not being super light, the only thing balancing him is his bad recovery
No Steve or Sonic are worse
*worse balanced

Steve is OP though, who made him like that
they should just ban Steve from online because as someone who doesn't have the smash dlc
its unfair as hell

any particular reason?
i would expect many sonic mains to disagree but i still believe sonic is significantly more unbalanced than Roy.
way faster (fastest in the game hes sonic), very strong combos, great ko power, and only a little lighter

yeah but two of his specials are very similar (side and down), and his speed has made me lose a few game (yes i know thats a bit of a skill issue). Most of the time I spam down and neutral (spindash and homing attack) because imo those his main moves (never up special on the ground, always jump before using it). So I think having two “power” moves is a good trade-off for his increased speed.

to be fair it could also be my bias towards sonic that ive had for as long as i can remember

Gonna be honest, it really isn't. Sure, Steve is overpowered in competitive, but people forget the character is hard as heck. Online, barely anyone is good enough to achieve even an inch of his potential. In fact, I heard that there was an innterview once, where they revealed the character with the biggest online win rate is Ganondorf, a character who in competitive is bottom tier, because at lower levels of play, like online, his positives matter a lot more since people don't know how to beat him. Basically the tier list is wildly different at different levels of play.

Also, while this is less relevant but still important to mention, Smash's online sucks. It lags a lot. Which means that playing offline (like competitive players do) is signifigantly faster and snappier then online. This is genuinely important since characters that require a lot of tight inputs, like Steve and Kazuya, are signifigantly worse online since they're less consistent, wheras characters like most Zoners are stronger online since the worse reacion time heavily works in their favour.

I guess the TLDR is that despite steve being broken it's a lot more complicated then that, and banning him online is not warranted in the slightest and it is actually fair

Turturing real people with over elaborate custom stages is way more fun, you get to see their reactions that way. It's incredible.

How does one fool people though? Computers can't handle complicated mazes or lava. But people can use their eyes.

I usually fall for them too because I've barely played Ultimate.

It gets harder to spot them when they plop on the ground a roll so you don't know which side of the logo was originally the thick one at first-

What's your strategy? I'd play Pyra/Mythra if I had actually been the one that bought it.
I've mentioned the DLC ownership problems before so I won't mention it now

My list of who needs to be added into smash 6:

- Shadow (Sonic franchise)
- Knuckles (Sonic Franchise)
- Metal Sonic (Sonic Franchise)
- Master Cheif (Halo Franchise) [so what if he's an Microsoft ip? Halo just made it to Ps5 so it's the perfect chance!)
- Tails (Sonic Franchise)
- Waddle Dee (Kirby Franchise) [Player 2 bouta become Player 1)
- finally, give Sonic better alt skims
Why does Sonic have one fighter and Fire Emblem have like 10.

idrk how to describe, but for edge gaurding I either:
Jump towards enemy and use up special (both), ariels (both)
nuetrul special
or when as pyra and enemy is low side special

to recover,
up special (either)
side special (either, working on that)

when dealing damage, I constantly switch between the two and moves I use, and to launch I use chroma dust, photon edge, or pyra's side smash

sorry, got the all nighter grammar issues
