So, @martinat388 posted their mains, so I'll ask. Who's everyone's main?

I'm a Mii Swordfighter player myself, I just love the moveset.

I also play Byleth, Piranha Plant and Pyra/Mythra. I say Pyra/Mythra because that's all I've been playing since they came out, they are just so fun.

I also enjoy Sephiroth and Link.

Me sitting here with Cloud, Samus, I like Pyra/Mythra, and

FALCON…. PAAAAWNCH!

I don't even understand why or how they added a Piranha Plant to SSBU….. let alone the moveset

That's inacurrate if you're referencing Ultimate's ai

The level 9's can make frame perfect dodges and attacks, and they detect your inputs the frame you input them.
They lack fundamentals, they constantly SD, they fall for the same things, they can't combo, they don't move well, they suck

Nah, Piranha Plant is genuinely fun to play, and he's severely underutilized in competitive play. I wanna learn how to properly use him because I enjoy playing him.

Plant's best move by far is his Neutral B, ptooie. You'll be pretty much using that for everything, kills, stray hits, as a projectile, just hitting above you, the lot. It's an extremely good move that holds his kit together.
Other then that he's pretty standard. His Poison Cloud is really good for damage if you place it where an opponent is gonna need to go, like on a ledge, or you can hide in it since it obscures vision. Also, his jab is frame 2 so it's extremely fast. Extremely fun character, I must say

Thanks. I do end up using Ptooie a lot, I just need to get better at aiming.
I always try to charge Poison Cloud when I have a chance, and I try to ledge guard with it when I can.
Right now, I'm trying to practice the D-Throw into Fair combo, but the cpu keeps dodging through it.

Yeah, it's a strange move and it takes time to get used to, but it's super powerful once you get the hang of it. Plus, the distance it travels depends on how high up the ptooie is when plant throws it, the lower down it is the farther it'll go. Another nifty trick that you can do with it is to have the move land right at ledge so it bounces and then falls off, it leads to an extremely good edgeguarding tool for people recovering from low, kinda like Villager's bowling ball in a way. I'm not very good at spacing that right but I thought I'd bring it up.

But Smash is less terrible. It's all about comparison.

The self destructing is a problem but other than that, frame-perfect reaction times make up for a lot. Aren't they coded so they won't let you attack them the same way multiple times?

Roy definitely has major weaknesses
A good edgeguard will allow you to take a stock super easily
