maybe they could have a set of mouths, set of eyes, and you can change the color of the acual head, so it's easy!Better safe than sorry ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.Scratch Team would just block the tag so the owner of the tag couldn't use it anymore. How would you ensure that inappropriate images couldn't be made?

I don't find this necessary at all, so no support. Besides, it would be way too easy for trolls to upload inappropriate, discriminatory, or otherwise rule breaking images. And it's unnecessary, when you can easily make your own image and use it on the forums with an image link (image uploaders such as cube upload). For even more emoticons, there's the whole Forumoji thing with the image links. Implementing this would be a waste of time for ST.

I see it. Still doesn't change my mind that it's unnecessary and has a very simple workaround.did you not see my post aove? I don't find this necessary at all, so no support. SUPPORTWhy not? I'm just a bit confused on what's so hard about getting a simple image host. We don't need to put all the pressure on the Scratch Team to implement a virtually useless feature in which has such an easy workaround.

Sometimes, we have to remember that building the Scratch site isn't as easy as making a Scratch project. It can be grueling work for them to create new features, and we don't need to waste all this time for them on a feature they'll probably have to remove later on.
While talking on the Suggestions forum, we have to remember that the Scratch Team are people too. In fact, they're adults with lives outside of Scratch. That makes it even harder for them to have enough time to make new features.
The Suggestions forum is for features that would improve the platform, not just possibility problematic and honestly silly additions to it.

No support. CubeUpload exists, at least create custom emojis there. Implementing this would be a huge waste of time for the Scratch Team, and is basically just recreating something that we already have. This could make it easy for trolls to use the forums to post… yuck, we don't talk about that.
If you want to make custom emojis then at least use CubeUpload or some other image host.

I completely agree with your statements. Image hosts are the way to go. It's simple; draw the small image yourself and put it on an image host. Boom. Put the link in a forums post. You've got yourself a little custom emoticon, without Scratch Team going through the hassle, without the trolls, so many benefits to not adding this feature, I can't lie. No support. I don't believe I even gave a statement on this suggestion before, so I might as well since the topic is alive and well.
I am also going to have to go out giving no support to this. The suggestion is very much wanting to pose as a way to upload your own emoji, but previously stated before, there are already image hosts with servers running on donations that are free out there (that's only because Scratch's foundation runs on non-profitable donations, solely) so that is pretty much pointless and vague with the idea of what… “private emojis”, only allowed for the owner to use? Doesn't that also count as a way to bypass the report feature?
I don't know if this will be beneficial at all from a view standpoint, not to mention that this could be used to just share inappropriate content in such abusive ways.
I agree with this terminology Honey (aka warriorcats) states. In my opinion, likewise, there have been trolls everywhere, not just on popular platforms, but also on kids websites made for kids, so does this seem like a good idea to implement with the very high chances of trolls constantly going to spam upload and post inappropriate images? That would just give people who take matters into their own hands, resulting in them getting a I don't find this necessary at all, so no support. Also, feel free to call me Honey instead of warriorcats, as that's my Scratch nickname (due to my more recent other usernames, mostly off-site, have something relating to Honey and the nickname has stuck with me ^^)

I've seen a lot of trolls on this platform in my time.My pleasure! :) I used to usually think that trolls weren't a big problem in the community today, but now my perspective on them has changed over time. Thank you for your agreement. I agree with your statements as well; there are trolls

because my GOD the absolute amount of trolls and goblins posting inappropriate brainrot that could surpass human comprehension is infact the reason aliens are not here. but also is the reason 90% of websites for kids are 90% brainrot skibidi pomni jax tadc type content.
no support. plus scratchers could create normal fruit emojis (eggplant peach cucumber ect) then use them in a very, very suggestive manner.

Here's the thing; we are not going to keep arguing like we're in kindergarten. I'm not trying to start drama in the forums. I'm not entirely sure what you mean by “stop talking like that”, either. You mean stop trying to give some respectful facts? If so, then no. stop talking like that or we are gonna keep arguing

The Scratch Website would have to upload the image for it to show in the posts…
9.5 Allow files to be uploaded into forum posts
The Scratch Team would have to pay for storage of these files, and they only have a limited amount of resources to do so. Storage space would be better allocated toward Scratch projects, anyway. There is also the issue of someone uploading a file that can potentially cause harm to someone's computer. Searching through these files would require significantly more moderation work, and there are not enough moderators able to do the job at the moment.
