How to know if a user is active.
Support this idea, but here is my improved suggestion:
Hope this helps.
Very active (Scratcher comes every day)
Almost very active (Scratcher comes every day but absent a bit)
Active (Scratcher comes 5-9 times a week)
Almost active (Scratcher comes 2-5 times a week)
Slightly active (Scratcher comes 9-13 times a month)
Slightly retired (Scratcher comes 5-8 times a month)
Semi-retired (Scratcher is absent a lot, but comes a bit)
Retired (Scratcher is not active for long time (like 6 months)
Very active (Last activity within five days)
Active (Last activity within two weeks)
Somewhat Active (Last activity within last three weeks)
Somewhat Inactive (Last activity within last three months)
Inactive (Last activity three months and beyond)
Hope this helps.

Support! This would be a great idea! It would help if someone wanted to ask a scratcher that is good in a certain topic, can draw personal logos, etc. and needed to know when the likelihood of that scratcher getting back to them would be.

I think numbers would be easier to use; something like:
Last online 5 minutes agobut support.

How to know if a user is active.
I don't like being told this on my suggestion threads, but this really doesn't serve much purpose regarding having 4, 8, or mutliple levels of inactivity in general. Would it be “cool” for a few days? Sure.
The point I'm trying to make is that even if you only had two “levels”:
Active
Inactive
…there's no real way to tell if someone is inactive. Even after a year of them being off. This would also subconciously make some people not visit certain Scratchers pages as they think that Scratchers aren't fully active. The method you suggested using is also just not practical.
Regardless, thank you for posting suggestions and hope to see more creative posts like this in the future

semi-support, as this would be a nice feature, but I also agree with this:

I didn't think of this perspective, but if you become active again, or at least put effort to, then your semi-support, as this would be a nice feature, but I also agree with this:inactive status will go back up to active.…there's no real way to tell if someone is inactive. Either way, on this suggestion, I'm now neutral.

Support if you can turn it on/off.
This will be very useful for some people that always get comments saying:
“are u dead”Support as per these. Support if there is also an “Activity Not Shown” option.

Well, there's not much point cause most people won't bother to change it before going inactive. No support.

Support but here is an extra idea
Holiday mode- if a scratcher is on holiday, they can set it to that and it will show so that it doesnt look like they are retired

Isn't that a bit tiring, though? No support. Just put it in your About Me or What I am Working On.

Please don’t necropost (don’t write on a topic all the way from 2011 to 2016-ish) They should add a way to see if scratchers are online
