Quoting Notification
Support if optional
I'm not even sure if this works with the messages system…
Semi support, somebody could do this:And I'll have a lot of mail.*spams quote* example message
(but there's good reasons, so that's why I semi support)
I'm counting you in as Semi support, but you do remember the 60 and 120 second rules, they would deter many spammers, when they realize that they can't say: Support if optional, can be used for spam.
I'ma Spammin'And 3 seconds later, say
I'ma Spammin'Again.
EDIT: Changed when I realized that
I said it was optional.

It will have a checkbox in messages that is normally off, that says “Receive messages when you are Quoted”. If you turn it on, it will saysomeone Quoted your reply to this topic Saying somethingwhen someone does so.
everything links to the homepage, don't click it.10/13 support!3/13 Semi-support!0/13 don't support!
I'd also like to see following a section of the forums like “suggestions” and getting a notification when there is a new topic.

Support, This would be so useful in Questions About Scratch or Help With Scripts as you could know when the person you're helping has recived your message!

I think there would be barely any spam if the following rules applied to this:
- There would only be a message sent if the “quote” button was pressed and the quote was not later removed.
- There would only be one message sent per user per post; if you pressed the quote button multiple times the user would still only receive one message.
- You would not get a new message from the same thread until you visited that thread.

Support for this. I think there would be barely any spam if the following rules applied to this:This way, you could only receive a new quoted message every 60 seconds - the only problem is that someone could quote every person on the thread per post to get multiple users at once, but quite honestly I don't think that would happen. Or, if it did, a third rule could also be added:
- There would only be a message sent if the “quote” button was pressed and the quote was not later removed.
- There would only be one message sent per user per post; if you pressed the quote button multiple times the user would still only receive one message.
I guess it could also be optional just to make people happy, but I think it should be on by default so those newer to the forums who unfollow their own threads could be notified through quotes if somebody had important information.
- You would not get a new message from the same thread until you visited that thread.
What happens if a user is double quoted, like this?
Do user1 and user2 get notified or just user2? Here's a quote:Quote:Example
