Billy Hatcher is the only non-Sonic character I play as in Sonic and SEGA All-Stars Racing.

Sonic is usually better than any other SEGA series? Am I right?

Sonic, Monkey Ball (I've played some of the Monkey Ball titles for Mobile), and Billy Hatcher (haven't played) come to mind as SEGA's more well-liked franchises.
Also, some of the very few family-friendly ones.
Honestly, the only SEGA franchises I've played are Sonic, Monkey Ball, and the All-Stars Racing games.

I have a question: Is SEGA failing? In the Console Wars, they were proud and well-armed, ready to fight back on Nintendo and Sony. Now, they're weak and in danger of shutting down, relying on their former enemies for help.
Wait, WHAT?! SEGA is having trouble?! OMG, I've gotta go do something about this! You see, I might want to go work at SEGA in Japan when I grow up! I can't let anything bad happen to the GREATEST COMPANY IN THE WORLD, who brought us the Great and Powerful Sonic the Hedgehog, before then!

But, you'll need to learn Japanese, which is one of the hardest languages to learn for an English speaker.

Who else is excited about SEGA Forever Classics>
It's their new program on mobile devices where they will be releasing remastered versions of their games with features designed for mobile.
This month we got a few Genesis games: Sonic 1 (they just changed the icon and screenshots a little and added ads (you can get rid of them via in-app purchase or restoring purchases if you already paid for the game)), Comix Zone (I have no idea), Chameleon Kid (seems interesting), and Fantasy Zone 2…
Dreamcast, Saturn, GameGear, and MasterSystem games were implied to be released on this program, too.

I posted this on the Sonic topic and made a few changes to it:

PrincessPandaLover wrote:

What if there was a SEGA theme park? I know there's SEGA Republic in Dubai and Joyopolis but still.

If there was, then there would be a Sonic-themed area called, Sonic Universe.

Here are the following attraction ideas:

  • Run with Sonic - This roller coaster will give riders what it feels like to be Sonic as they go very quickly through Green Hill Zone and various other zones.
  • Sonic Generations - Named after the 2011 video game of the same name, this dark ride takes the riders through the history of Sonic the Hedgehog, through 9 zones from past games. Also complete with speed! The queue contains music from the past games and concept art. The exit room consists of more concept art and demos for various games.
  • Life of a Teenage Blue Hedgehog - This 20-minute show explores what's Sonic's daily life is.
  • Shadow's Chaos Control Spin - Riders can ride this tilt-a-whirl, in giant Chaos Emeralds of course.
  • Night of the Werehog - This is a 4D theater that plays the short film of the same name.
  • Reach for the Stars! - Named after Sonic Color's theme song, the riders get shot up to the sky in a drop-tower-style track and then carried all over the place, in this roller coaster.
  • Meet and Greet Sonic and Co - Children (and adults too) can greet Sonic the Hedgehog and his friends, including Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Blaze, Shadow, and Silver.
  • Chao Garden Carousel - Riders can hop onto giant Chao and go ‘round and ’round.
  • The Frightening Depths of the Underwater - This log flume explores Sonic's fears of water, with several underwater zones and a large splash (with the drowning theme added)!
  • Here Comes the Sonic Boom! - This comfort and quiet room provides Sonic books and comic books to read, a table to draw fanart, Wi-Fi, an electronic filled with Sonic games, and a TV screen streaming Sonic Boom episodes.

Here are the following shop and restaurant ideas:

  • Adopt a Chao - Children (and collectors) can pick their Chao plush, put clothing on them, and name it.
  • Tails' Warehouse - Sonic games and merchandise can be bought here.
  • Sonic's Chili Dog Stand - People can order chili dogs, mint candy, grapes, apples, and ice cream (can you guess why those are sold?) and eat them.
  • Green Hill Zone - People can order fast food and eat here.

Any suggestions and remarks? I spent a long time writing that, so it would be wonderful if y'all replied.

The virtual queue system could be called “Sonic Speed Wait” and the meal reservation system could be called “AiAi's Banana Path” (yeah, the name is lazy).

Here are the list of seasonal events that could occur:

  • New Year, New Fun (January)
  • Villain Takeover (April-May, with Sonic Universe being renamed Eggmanland)
  • Sunshine SEGA (June-July)
  • Down in Pumpkin Hill (October)
  • A Very Sonic Christmas (November-December)

Oh, and the transport system would be Sonic and SEGA All-Stars Racing styled, with people riding in karts led by Sonic in a kart.

Any remarks and suggestions for the SEGA theme park idea?

Jet Set Radio is an action video game in which young gang members skate around the city spraypainting buildings while evading authority.
Space Channel 5 is a music video game in which Ulala must rescue people through dancing and music in a space sci-fi way.

Billy Hatcher looks like a fun game… I might try it out sometime… If I can find the game at a retro game store (I have a Gamecube-compatible Wii and Gamecube controllers are easy to come by at GameStop).

OK… That doesn't sound too bad… Why did they get rated T, though?

Crazy Taxi has mild swearing.
I don't know about Ulala.

Has anyone heard of Dinosaur King? It's basically Pokémon but with dinosaurs.

And Sega published a Happy Tree Friends video game.

1. Oh
2. She kinda disturbs me- ever since I first saw her in the All-Star Racing games.
3. I might have- I bet it was made to compete against Pokemon.
4. What was it about?

No no, according to Wikipedia, Dinosaur King was derived from their own trading card video game but with beetles.

About the HTF game, it was basically a Lemmings ripoff.

Crazi Taxi was re-released on mobile for free recently!
I might or might not get it because of the reduced age rating.
I hope Sonic Adventure gets released on mobile as part of the SEGA Forever Classics program.
