7/3/13 Updates....
Editor: v342.
- Sprite/Backdrop/Costume library is now cached by SWF so it loads really fast after the first time.
- make default duration of drum and rest blocks be 0.25
- add note numbers to the note menu
There are many code changes related to the upcoming offline/standalone version, including:
- the top bar of editor including remix/share/project/mystuff/login buttons
- the file menu
- backpack logic
- asset library logic
But most of the above shouldn't be visible when viewed online. We're deploying them to keep the code bases in sync, and ensure that they do not introduce any unforseen errors.
This is just a small set of changes - look for more next week.

Hoorah! More updates! Keep up the great work!
Also, sound blocks don't work like they do in 1.4. I put a set instrument block into my project and it became obsolete when I looked inside.

You misspelled “sync”, but good job! It's also good to know that the offline editor is coming soon.

I want to see variables. ( ( var ) ^ ( var ) ) An actual block. I don't want to do a workaround. If one of your calculations requires you do x^74, you'd want that block rather than having to do … ( ( ( ( ( ( var * var ) * var ) * var ) * var ) * var ) * var ) …

Wait- no major updates that people are looking for? I thought you said you were busy fixing bugs!
SORRY, IGNORE WHAT I JUST SAID! THE DARK LORD MADE ME DO IT! …The Dark Lord Kaj.
Good to know you're working on the offline version. Since this post was so short, does this mean you guys are going to start taking good great practical suggestions?

1. Announcements is not the place to suggest things. (That's a little hypocritical for me to say, I've done it before, but I try not to do it now.)
2. I wonder how high the reporter digit limit is? x^74 is kind of stretching it, don't you think? Like for instance, 10000^10000000000 would produce a VERY high number. Do you really ever NEED numbers that high? Just a thought.

Sorry… Embarrassed myself YET AGAIN on the forums… If there was an emoticon/smiley for embarrassment I would have posted it right now.

Well, some numbers result in infinity, so the same can happen here, so…I want to see exponents. ( ( var ) ^ ( var ) ) An actual block. I don't want to do a workaround. Well?
I sure wouldn't want 74 blocks to do something that 1 block can accomplish.

Does this update have to do with the new import experimental whatever when shift-clicking. “File”? Check it out.

Use e^x of (b*(ln of (a))) for a^b.

Correction of the date: 7/3/13. We're not still in 2012.
I would know, it was my birthday yesterday.
