If your computer crashes by a website like Scratch rn then it is amazing how there able to just google a word without the Computer setting on fireBut still, that could also cause lots of lag and crash computers. I support. That would be cool. Then we could be closer to “true fullscreen”.
Bottom line: if your computer crashes to scratch, prob time to get another computer

This feature would probably warrant some form of project settings page, which I think people don't want right now. Sounds cool, though.
Some version of TurboWarp has it, not sure if it's the main one, and I think a different mod was made for that feature as well. No, though you can try to use Snap Is there any current way that we can make it a 16:9 ratio? i need to record a video for a school project.! instead.

E羊icques, a Scratch 3 mod, also has this feature. If you need to make a Scratch 3 project in a custom ratio, that's probably your best bet. Some version of TurboWarp has it, not sure if it's the main one, and I think a different mod was made for that feature as well. No, though you can try to use Snap Is there any current way that we can make it a 16:9 ratio? i need to record a video for a school project.! instead.

I believe the 4:3 aspect ratio is good enough. I am a retro gamer and I don't have a problem with 4:3 screens.

Although I agree, 4:3 ratio is fine for a lot of things, it would be nice to have the option for 16:9. Plus the 360p resolution feels a bit small, and sometimes I can't fit everything I'd want to in there. On my 17“ laptop, the renderer is only about 3.2” wide. Plus fullscreen breaks some projects, so it's not ideal.
Here's the Turbowarp link: https://staging.turbowarp.org/486759373?hqpen&size=1080p:1080&fps=60
Replace the project ID with your own, stick whatever values in the URL, and you're good to go.

I think something that could work is an option to stretch the project to 16:9 size. It could work for anamorphic widescreen projects.

Putting a Scratch project in fullscreen on a Saturday crashes my browser beacuse of how much website traffic there is, but I don't think making it 16:9 would make much of a difference. If you want 16:9 aspect ratio, you can just use this link for now: https://turbowarp.org/editor?size=640x360Does youtube crash your computer when you go into fullscreen? But still, that could also cause lots of lag and crash computers. I support. That would be cool. Then we could be closer to “true fullscreen”.
Also this is a duplicate, but I can't find the link.

If your computer lags and crashes because of a 16:9 video you probably are using one of these bad boysBut still, that could also cause lots of lag and crash computers. I support. That would be cool. Then we could be closer to “true fullscreen”.

Support, if it's an option.
However, some people have monitors that aren't 1080x720 or 1920x1080, so maybe it's an option in your account settings of what dimensions you want for projects.
Unfortunately, this could break some currently existing projects. For these projects, maybe have some pop-up saying “Hey! This project has not been updated since different dimensions were added into Scratch, so some things in this project may break. For best performance, please change your settings to 1024x768”. This pop-up would only happen if your dimensions aren't set to the dimensions of the project you are playing.

Why not make rhe aspect ratio linked to the project? It makes much more scene and wouldn't brake any projects. Support, if it's an option.

No support. This is overly specific. The better option is to allow for the user making the project to select any of the 307200 resolutions from 1×1 to 640×480, so users who need 480×448 instead of 480×360 could use that, and 560×450 as well, etc. . However, you could advocate for higher limits, such as 800×600, or 960×600, though higher limits might be more problematic to implement on some devices. The custom resolution concept I would support. Even dimensions would behave as they currently do, odd dimensions would have the center pixel be in the center.

Support - 16:9 is more realistic to most devices, and you can fit 16:9 on a 4:3 screen as well (resizing)
