Ban "lmao"
lmao is an abbreviation for a phrase that contains an inappropriate word (laughing my
CENSORED:: controloff). I think it should be banned so no little kids find it and look it up.

Ban "lmao"
I've heard the argument made before that the “A” could stand for anything, and for that reason, the Scratch Team won't block it, but I have no proof.

Yes, it was in TOLoRS before, but since it was suggested way less than it originally was, it was removed from the list. The quote can still be found from older posts that contain it. I've heard the argument made before that the “A” could stand for anything, and for that reason, the Scratch Team won't block it, but I have no proof.
Here:
6.5 Censor the words {damn, crap, frick, lmao}This word is basically more known as a “I cant stop laughing LOL” word than it's actual definition these days. Not many bother to even search it up.
The Scratch Team has decided that these words are not offensive enough to be censored completely. As always, use the Report button if someone is using these words (or any others) disrespectfully. In addition, if you come across a word that is not censored, but you think it should be, please let the Scratch Team know about it through Contact Us, rather than using the comments or forums to report it.
Another reason why “lmao” in particular is not censored is stated in this post. There is also an existing suggestion that would allow you to personally censor these words, and others, so that only you cannot see them; you can discuss it on this topic.
Consider it borderline, basically.
Like with every word in the rejection title though, you cannot use them rudely or inappropriately. You WILL be punished if you do that.

These words aren't offensive enough mate. Also likely dupe.

No, I believe it was removed because it was being used as an excuse to insert swear words wherever someone wants, but this has seemed to me to be less and less likely over time. Yes, it was in TOLoRS before, but since it was suggested way less than it originally was, it was removed from the list. The quote can still be found from older posts that contain it.
I always thought that although the Scratch Team doesn't ban all swear words, they still don't want people to extensively use them, (as you said so in your post.) Although I would appreciate more clarity from the Scratch Team on what is inappropriate or not, because I've heard from some sources you can report comments using the acronym in question, but doing so once got my account blocked.
