Mentions of blood

Previously I asked if you could mention blood to which I was told it was based on the moderator. However, I have a similar but different question does that apply to educational information as well. Allow me to explain, say for example I wanted to explain what a CBC test is and what it stands for (which stands for Complete Blood Count.) would I have to say “it stands for Complete Red vital substance Count” or would mentioning blood in that context be okay as it is entirely meant for educational purposes?

Furthermore, I’ve noticed people mention blood in the context of an expression (for example: my blood turned cold at the thought) and not have anything happen. Is that alright as well or how does that work?

It’s fine to mention blood as long as it’s not gore. For example, describing a murder would not be allowed, but explaining how a blood test works is fine.

So I could, for example, talk about the type of cells in blood as an educational thing?

Yea that’d be fine. (You should wait for more responses; don’t just take my word for it.)

In terms of using it in an expression, that's probably okay. So is using it in a non-graphic educational way, I believe. As long as it's not super descriptive/visual with real pictures of graphic injuries or anything, I'd think it would be fine.

Fine in an educational context.
