Lego mario extension

Lego Mario, Luigi, and Peach are An exciting Nintendo gift for boys, girls, and gamers aged 6 and up, the set features an interactive LEGO Mario figure, plus Bowser Jr., a Goomba and Yoshi toy figure, plus 3 environment builds. Travel from the Start Pipe to the Goal Pole, triggering digital reactions from LEGO Mario and collecting coins along the way. So they have Bluetooth, so I had an idea, why not make a lego mario extension?

This would require permission from both Lego and Nintendo, and I am unsure how much input can be collected by Lego Mario.

this is a lot to ask for, they would have to get permission from Lego and Nintendo to do this.

(the only thing I remember about lego marios is a video where someone stuck them in a microwave)

i agree this might be nice, but how would we get permission? what people would actually use it? lego mario's are pretty expensive.

What type of project would use this extension? What blocks would this extension add? How would the Scratch Team convince Lego and Nintendo to let them do this?

Hold on, how would this work? Would the project display on the Lego Mario? Would the project have a camera that shows Lego Mario and you can control him using some sort of controls? I’m confused because I’ve never had a Lego Mario before.

ah, yes. the three genders: Male, Female, and Gamer.

Seems like it'll take some work to code which I don't think the Scratch team really wants to spend instead of using it for other things. Also, Nintendo is notoriously strict on their copyright. Relies heavily on whether or not Nintendo is willing.

This would definitely be cool as Scratch has made extensions like this before (with LEGO robot stuff), but I don't think it's possible as the point of LEGO Mario is to build the level IRL for Lego Mario to go through. I'm not sure how this would work digitally.

Nintendo's strict on copyright, so IDK. Probably not.
