I think that there should be a “url” block In the editor. It would be in the sensing section, and have the current url on in it.
url::sensing reporter

Hi there! Thanks for the suggestion. In the suggestions forum, we like to keep everything nice and neat with only one topic for each idea. It appears someone had the same idea as you (great minds think alike!) a while back. You can view that topic here. Please share your thoughts on that topic as this one will be closed.

they mean a reporter that reports the current url
url::sensing reporter//https://scratch-mit-edu.ezproxyberklee.flo.org/discuss/topic/807733/ it would currently report, although it wouldn't because its a discuss page

He meant a reporter block that tells the user the current URL.

I don't really see the point of this too well, I can just look at the top of the screen and see the current url there.

Hey there! This isn't exactly a duplicate (as it's about a singular block rather than a full extension), however, this block suggestion, assuming #5 is correct, would actually be included within the “Internet Extension” suggestion.

it could be used for stuff like crediting the original project if the url isn’t the same as the OG project

No, pretty sure the whole suggestion is just a block that shows you the current URL. You aren't able to change the URL it shows (if I'm understanding the suggestion correctly)

pretty much, I was just responding to the other guy because he thought the block could show other URLs outside of the project.
