Be respectful
Scratchers have different interests, knowledge and identities and come from different walks of life.
We encourage everyone to share things that excite and matter to them on Scratch, and we hope that you can give enough space to your own identity on Scratch and allow others to do the same.

Don't post personal information
Be safe and don't share any information that would allow you to contact them privately (whether in person or online).
So don't post: your real name, phone number, email or home address, where you live, school, usernames or links to social media sites, video chat apps or websites with private chat functionality.

Be constructive
Everyone learns on Scratch.
When you comment on a project, remember to say something nice and offer suggestions for improvement - friendly, not condescending.

Get excited about remixing
Remixing means taking projects, code, ideas, images, etc. shared by others on Scratch and making them your own unique project.
Remixing is a great way to connect and collaborate with other Scratchers. You can use anything on Scratch for your own creations, as long as you thank the creator of the original project and make meaningful changes to their projects. Conversely, of course, you also allow others to reuse the projects you share on Scratch.

Be honest
An honest and authentic interaction with other Scratchers is important to us - remember, there is a person behind every Scratch account!
Spreading rumors, pretending to be another Scratcher or a famous person, or faking a serious illness is not the respectful interaction we want in the Scratch community.

Be friendly
We want positive projects and friendly comments that are suitable for all age groups.
If you find something mean, offensive, glorifying violence or similarly disturbing in the community, please click on “Report” and let us know. Please use the Report button and do not start arguments, spread rumors about other people's behavior, or otherwise react inappropriately. The Scratch team will review your report and take appropriate action.

Hello! It's great that you want to help out other Scratchers. However, I think we have enough guides in the forums at the moment. Please feel free to welcome new Scratchers on the group welcoming topic or on individual topics created by New Scratchers.
Other places that can always use more helpful Scratchers like you, are the "Help With Scripts“ and ”Questions About Scratch" areas - please use them as designed, by responding to topics created by folks with problems to solve
Finally, a really good place for Scratch guides is the Scratch Wiki - check it out and see if it's something you might like to work on. They have a number of guides - and great organization.
