It came out around two weeks ago. What did everyone think of Ultimate X-Men #1?

Oh alright. Also my only thoughts on it are:
“Get off my lawn!”
-Cyclops, Ultimate X-Men #1

Jokes aside I really liked the art style, I think it really complimented the theme the comic was going for. I also liked the detail of Kitty having a Spider-Man poster in her room as a reference. Some feedback would maybe be to tweak the zoom feature a bit, it just feels a bit clunky at the moment (don’t get me wrong, it’s definitely useful)

Also was that cyclops line an Astonishing X-men v.2 #8 reference?

If it helps it's one of many references to Astonishing X-Men.

Since I took down all my projects a while ago (and subsequently erased them from the msm), it would be unfair to everyone else to dump them all back in at once so I’m just gonna either not put them back in at all or re-add one at a time every week or so

I’m working on Deadpool #1 right now (I know I kindaaa already released that, but I’m not proud of it so it’s de canonized for now) and I genuinely think it’s the best comic I’ve ever made, I took a lot of inspiration in my art from the AMU, wrote a story I’m pretty proud of, and utilized panels instead of splash pages (without converting to bitmap and ruining the quality), and I used a really awesome character I’ve never heard anybody talk about, and so far it’s just looking really good in general. It should release fairly soon, maybe even today

Also it’s around 20 pages and utilizes panels, which I think is defiantly better than a lot of my older, more rushed comics.

1) Thanks, I'm proud of the backgrounds. Aside from the X-Mansion, not a fan of how that turned out.
2) Yep. Originally her Spidey fangirl tendencies were more present (I had the idea for a reference to Spider-Man fanfiction) but that never made it in.
3) We'll look into that.

I always find it a little weird when people are fans of superheroes in the Marvel and DC universes in the same way people are fans of superheroes in the real world. People are writing the equivalent of Pete Buttigieg fanfiction in the Marvel universe.

I sort of agree with you there, but for Kitty specifically she did date Spider-Man in the Ultimate Universe (before stupid Peter cheated on her for some reason lol), and in the Ultimate Universe Kingpin doesn’t end up killing Spider-Man because of how much money Kingpin makes off of the Spider-Man merch he produces, so it’d make sense for a lot of people to have superhero merch of specifically Spider-Man

Fair. But when writing I write it as more of a superhero = celebrity case (but it depends on the hero), like how One-Direction fan-fiction exists. Also I googled it, it does exist.

edit: there's an X-Men comic book seen in that scene also, along with how Ultimates #1 had Tony Stark reference merchandise with a kid holding an Iron Man action figure. It's kind of common in the MSUU for superheroes to have that following but as I said it's more of a thinking of them like a boyband or actor. For Iron Man it's not like kids have toys of Elon Musk.

One-Direction fan-fiction exists.
That thought makes me highly uncomfortable

I also packed in a neat little Ultimate Universe reference in there, although I'm doubting anyone will find it because of how subtle it is lol

It's actually a reference to the fact she has a poster of Spider-Man in the 1610. It can actually be seen at the start of the Clone-Saga arc. Originally Spider-Man played a role in the comic (UXM #1) but that got altered

Liz Allan's role was supposed to be done by Gwen Stacy. But that got changed to move X-Men (specifically Kitty) away from Spider-Man. I did consider Jessica Jones but Liz I thought worked better.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
now I get it
Clone-Saga was actually good in the ultimate universe lmbo
Because I remember when Ultimate Spidey met the X-Men for the first time, and when he met kitty pride in his annual series, but I can barley remember that poster even now that you've brought it up
