╰▹ falling stars ꕀ the beginning of my roleplaying journey lies in a miscellaneous elf roleplay i joined three years ago. this served as a mere introduction to the craft, and i can't say i gained much knowledge from the experience, as the roleplay was only active for a few weeks.
╰▹ rtic ꕀ rising tides in coveclan is where i really kicked off my roleplaying journey. more than two years ago i signed up as fernsky, a 40 moon warrior. although lacking sufficient characterization, i was able to give her an interesting life, and it was even able to mentor a blind apprentice named shellpaw. overall, she wasn't the worst first wc character anybody's ever had.
╰▹ wwrp ꕀ when i joined about a year ago, wistful wings provided a stepping stone for me to practice building relationships with other characters, especially due to its smaller size. although a sign-up character, willowdream's personality was developed fairly well, and i was able to roleplay it realistically. wwrp was so important to my own growth as a roleplayer, and i am incredibly grateful for the knowledge i gained while it was active.
╰▹ itwrp ꕀ i recently joined into the wild after my character amaryllisblight was chosen to fulfil the position of thunderclan medicine cat. unfortunately, i hit a rough patch in terms of activity almost immediately, and as it seems, so did the rest of thunderclan. i have enjoyed building upon her character in the past, though, and i hope to resume roleplaying with her soon.
╰▹ miscellaneous ꕀ i have only listed the main roleplays i participated in thus far. in addition to falling stars, rtic, wwrp, and itwrp, i was also part of sundial, efrp, w-wrp, tvgrp, ssrp, and so many more that i've since forgotten. they didn't have quite as much of an impact on my roleplaying experience, which is why i have chosen not to elaborate on them.

╰▹ graysprinkle ꕀ i signed up with my first tfc character almost two years ago, as a 13 moon old warrior. i have rather mixed feelings about graysprinkle. although he possessed an extremely one-dimensional personality and had little to no friendly relationships with other cats, roleplaying with him gave me the chance to expose myself to other techniques and vocabulary that i have integrated into my own writing.
╰▹ twinkletwilight ꕀ i have roleplayed faer since july of 2023, and twi has had so much development since then. although faer character arc could have been roleplayed better, the mistakes i've made have taught me so much in the way of character growth. however, despite these minor bumps in the road, the journey i've embarked on with twi has been absolutely incredible–fae has even had the wonderful opportunity to start a family! and although she has now surpassed 80 moons, i have no plans for faer story to end just yet—many more plans are still coming to fruition, and i’m so excited for what twi has in store for the the rest of faer life <3
╰▹ incantationtune ꕀ cae is my most recent character, whom i’ve roleplayed with since last august. her life has yet to see much real character development, as most of the recent occurrences in her life have been the tragic loss of family members. however, i do have many plans for her that i hope to be able to follow through on.

╰▹ the longevity of my characters is one of my greatest strengths as a roleplayer. i’ve never had to kill off a character of mine young, and so most of my characters died when the roleplay itself died out. in fact, graysprinkle was the only character of mine i had to kill, and i only did so when he was 91 moons. his age at the time of signing up with him was 13 moons, so i kept him for a grand total of 78 weeks or 1.5 years. one of my current characters, twinkletwilight is 82 moons as of writing this, and i plan to keep faer alive past 100. my only other character at present is incantationtune, who is 28, though i have no plans to kill her off anytime soon. in sum, based on past experience, i can absolutely guarantee that i would be able to keep laurel for 52 moons at the very least, though i don’t think it’s too ambitious at all to keep her past 80 moons. ꕀ

╰▹ one minute issue i’d like to address is my activity. i have, admittedly, been unable to roleplay with twinkletwilight and incantationtune as much as i’d like. however, i have identified the root causes of this issue, and i’m confident that i’ve found solutions to mitigate this. first of all, the easiest problem to fix—thinking up roleplay starters. this is a problem so many people struggle with, and it is the main contributing factor to my lack of motivation to roleplay. i find it so hard to simply start. however, this problem is incredibly easy to solve, almost laughably so. within this application, i have included a collection of already-written roleplay starters, as well as ideas for even more. i feel like this simple fix will go a long way to improve my activity, and especially coupled with the next strategy i’ve come up with. one thing i’ve noticed is that it’s difficult to develop characters if you lack a clear, overarching theme from the get-go. this theme, a simple word or phrase, enhances character development by allowing you to tie all the events and relationships that make the character who they are to that one theme, effectively creating a single, cohesive narrative for the character. i believe that these solutions, though simple, will greatly mitigate the effects of my own inconsistent motivation and energy levels on my activity by simply making it easier to roleplay with and develop the character. ꕀ

╰▹ the kit i’m entering for is the lovely laurelkit. from the second i laid eyes on her design, i just knew i had to enter—and a deluge of personality ideas and character concepts followed soon after. i set to work on my entry almost immediately, thrilled to be able to put pen to paper and sort through my ideas, crafting the perfect image in my mind of who i thought laurel would be. her graceful appearance and intricate design inspired me, but so did her name itself. the rich symbolism of the laurel tree harkens back to the days of the ancient greeks, reminiscent of the beautiful nymphs of greek myth—one of whom was named daphne, a naiad transformed into a laurel tree. daphne in particular has been the inspiration for this application, and my version of laurelkit was crafted in her image. she is a nymph caught between fleeting freedom and the legacy she longs to leave behind. ꕀ
