our epic cabin
from my app - “In this cabin, campers and leaders are survivors of an accident in the snow. The ultimate storyline goal is to be rescued, but meanwhile, the participants need to complete different challenges, such as find food, somewhere to sleep, or light a fire. The campers have to complete different writing or self-care tasks or activities to progress the storyline.”

— choose a cabin symbol (jan. 26th)
— write our cabin atmosphere (jan. 26th)
— cabin colors (idk when these are due sobs)
— personal info (word goal + memory book permissions) to robin (feb. 15th)
— cabin setup (feb. 1st)
— just generally figure out what we're doing /j

some epic questions/notes i have
— do you guys have a canva account? and if so, would you be okay working anonymously in a shared canva to make thumbnails and the like? (no worries if not haha)
— cabin symbols: i wanted to use this ᨒ because it kinda looks like a mountain but it's also the symbol in the leader forum- so if we opt for this we'd have to check with hosts just in case they plan to use this for the session overall or something ahah
— cabin relationships: do you have any preferences/ideas?
— cabin profile pictures: would any of you like to make these?

i do have a canva account! and i’m good with sharing a canva anonymously <3 and i would love to make the profile pictures if you guys are good w that!!

oh lol not great timing XD hope your trip was fun though!!
one of the ideas i had was having one of us be the one who caused the accident and kind of like a ‘betrayal’ thing, but i was also thinking we could do something like we caused/faked the accident to test the survival skills of the campers, if that makes sense? to make us seem a little less evil ahaha~

i've asked robin if we could use ᨒ as the symbol even if it's the one on the leader forum - if we can't perhaps we can go with a snowflake or something idk lol

some other snow accident ideas could be an engineered gondola crash, or something more survivable, like there's snowstorm/blizzard on a trip away from a cabin and the snowmobiles (?) have been sabotaged sneakily and break down

hey!! so for our cabin atmosphere blurb thing, these are what we had in our leader apps :D (we all mentioned pretty similar things so)
we could probably combine them to show a bit more of the storyline

“a tight-knit, active community focused on exploration with writing, alongside an exciting and interactive plot - and making memories you can’t forget <3”

“This cabin will be activity-heavy, prioritizing bonding, teamwork, fun, and the storyline before focusing on competition and rankings, but campers are welcome to take part in any aspect they prefer.”

“A friendly, creativity-geared cabin focused on personal improvement, while also encouraging collaboration among campers and amicable competition.”


also should we lowkey go with the aroace color scheme for the funsies xDD (it's so prettyyy)

yep! the open air ones are the chairlifts and the gondolas are the bigger ones (usually 6 to 30+ people from what i've seen)

we could do something like (building off of the things you said) “suddenly dropped in the snowy mountains, you must join forces with the others to survive…in this dynamic, plot-heavy cabin, we encourage creativity, improving writing skills, and perhaps a dash of chaos - all while making memories ” is that too long hhhh let me know what you guys think/want to change <33
