How long should it take for Scratch to start indexing projects with ID > 1.1B
I have seen this issue go around for 4-ish years now, and just wondering how long it should take for the Scratch indexers to reach the ID > 1.1 BILLION. How am I ever going to expect to get on trending?? This doesn’t make sense, and I’ve spent over 3 hours reading forums on this, trying to understand what’s going on. Why did Scratch prioritize thumbnails over project ID indexing? Makes absolutely NO (though I guess sorta?) sense, and this should have been optimized originally. I see project IDs on the Explore page with IDs LESS THAN A BILLION. And we have to wait this long for it to sort through 15 MILLION MORE IDs? What is going on here, and why is it so slow? It shouldn’t take that long to index 1 project…but if it takes just 1 second to index ONE PROJECT, we are looking at 173.61111111 days before the index catches up to today’s IDs. Why don’t we remove projects that have really low IDs, and haven’t been updated in like a year? Would this solve it? If not, why don’t you use more indexers? Like, say you used 1 program. Use 10! I mean, I get that Scratch needs funding, and it’s a free program, but it really needs some help.
FINAL(ish) NOTE:
I don’t want to look like I’m just a random child complaining that I can only not get on trending because of a bug, so I’d like to say here that Scratch does a wonderful job, and the whole team really works their butts off. If anyone tries to say that they are lazy, you are wrong. Look at all the updates they have done! And while they aren’t as important as project indexing, they are still updates to make the site better (I for one, am quite enjoying not clicking to delete a sprite on accident). And just to clarify, I don’t really care about game all that much, but it’s nice when I see that someone loved or favorited my project, even if they are a random person. I know I, and many other people, like to see people actually playing their games (or any other type of project), especially when they spend a month of all-nighters working on it (yeah, definitely not me…).
-Looking back on this, this was probably too aggressive, and I apologize to anyone on the Scratch Team reading this, I do appreciate you guys (you know what I mean) for operating this website. It’s basically my life outside of my personal life (that sounded weird), now that I think about it. And no, I’m not a lame dude sitting in front of my iPad all the time (I go outside, and am pretty active).
Sorry for the ramble, but I had to post this, I want an answer. By the way, I don’t really have any experience programming anything like indexing, and I don’t really understand it yet, and I am by no means a professional programmer, just a humble(ish) Scratcher. Thanks for reading!

How long should it take for Scratch to start indexing projects with ID > 1.1B
I’ve also been waiting (impatiently) for the project indexer to start indexing projects over 1.1B, but we may never know how long it will take because I do not know how Scratch’s project indexer works.
Also, about you seeing projects with IDs under 1B on the explore page, it has been updated so that IDs under 1.07B get showed. I’ve seen quite a few while browsing the explore page myself.
I might update this post with more information when I thought up of more to say

support, but there is a workaround
calculate everyone online on scratch, then assign each of them a section of projects to index, and use javascript to use their computing power to index projects faster. im sure that if we implemented this method, it would go 1000s of times faster
