Those are WAY TOO EARLY for a beta. Especially if they want AI. It took ST 3 WHOLE YEARS to release the final version of scratch 3.0 and 1 year and 8 months to release beta. And this time it isn’t just some fancy new blocks and new web pages and a new version to improve the site. So don’t really expect a beta to release at that time because that is honestly really early.

also 3d and ai is conplexer than 2d so why wont they do both

IT IS VERY UNLIKELY FOR A BETA RELEASE DATE FOR ANYTHING UNDER LATE 2026! It took 1 YEAR AND 8 MONTHS for the 3.0 beta to release. Now imagine that with RE-IMAGINING THE COMMUNITY FEATURES AND CREATIVE AI. 2027 or 2028 is most likely. Sorry if my comment came off as a rude. I just wanted to make my point loud and big so it isn’t looked over or skipped.

The only definitively correct answer here is that no one knows exactly when or how it will be released.

I'm also willing to bet not even the Scratch Team completely knows when 4.0 is expected to be released, or if it even will be a new version and would just be revisions to the current 3.0 version. Everything is just speculation.

Nobody knows, so all of this is just speculation.

Don't count on it, they said they would start on it in 2025, not that they would have a version ready for the public in 2025
