[MAIN] New Features in Scratch!

Hello Everyone, and welcome to my Sticky Topic!

Sprite Deletion Prompt!
Many people have said (From this form) that the Deletion button was big, and really easy to hit. And your sprite would get deleted forever! So Scratch Team decided to add this little prompt!

Thank you to @Scratch137 for the image
People really like it, and I do to!
Really sorry for the poor documentation, not really much to document!

Scratch 3.0 Blocks on forms!!!!
People have been begging for this feature to be added to Scratch Forms for a long time, and now they are here! We welcome Scratch V3.0 Blocks! They got added, to my knowledge the week of Nov. 6th 2024!
Example:
say [Scratch V3.0 Blocks are in Forms Now!]
ask [Do you Agree?] and wait
anyways here's a custom block! ::custom
(And here's a Variable)
<and what ever this is>
<Along with this (Thing)>
<[15] < [15]>
Like I said, this is a very welcome change!

Wait! ScratchTeam can Organize!?!?!?
Yes, you heard me right, ScratchTeam can Organize, and they cooked!

Photo Credits to @8to16 for the photo!
NOTE: @8to16 is using a scratch extension. Dark Mode Has Not Been Added!!!!

This is not that important, but really cool, as it looks like some of the images have been updated (Or it's been some time since I have been on this page lol)
Wait? A new security feature?
Ok, another new feature. I guess when you register a scratch account, if you are under 16, it will ask for a parents email. Not much is known about this feature, but it is cool!

Another New Account Feature??!?!?!
Yea, so I guess when you make a new account on scratch, it shows the community guidelines, and not the home page. So that's nice…

Scratch Following Change
I guess Scratch has made a change with how the followers menu works on profiles. Now, the list of people who are following You is in order from First person you were following to the Last person who is following you.
The End
Anyways, thanks for reading this Sticky Post, if there's anything I missed, please tell me so I can add it! Might be a bit since I am at school!

Pssst, ScratchTeam, can you give a a feature project?
Thanks to @yrapt for the notice of custom blocks

It’s new! Scratch seems to be implementing some updates, we also got 3.0 blocks on the forums.

This is indeed a new feature.

A welcome addition, as there was previously no sort of confirmation for deleting anything.
However, there still doesn't appear to be any such confirmation for deleting costumes or sounds.

Thank god for the confirmation thing because of the fact that they have an oversized delete button, though I wish it was optional

I wish there was a setting to turn it off

Same, also I think they should also just revert back to the old 3.0 delete button or the 2.0 delete button since the old button was harder to click. Also, in 2.0, for sprites, the delete button was hidden behind right click.

Just wondering, but do you know If there were any other changes besides this and scratchblocks?

I doubt they will be doing that. Remember that Scratch 3.0 is designed with touchscreen devices, like tablets, in mind.

The old button was more difficult to click by accident, but that was a consequence of it simply being harder to click in general, especially for touch users.
Adding a confirmation prompt is a compromise between the two approaches.

I already know, though I remember using Scratch 3.0 a long time ago, and it was easy enough for me to delete sprites, but then after it was changed, it was too easy to accidentally delete stuff, and it was so annoying combined with the sprite pane bug.
Also, I thought that a confirmation prompt that can't be turned off kinda causes issues for me, and also people who need to delete a lot of sprites (that could've been solved if we still had the scissors tool, which could be used to delete multiple sprites, or if we had a multiselect thing)

I mean, there is a button to restore the sprite, it's under the “Edit” Tab

Yea I already knew that, but the thing is, I've seen cases where people don't know that the button exists or that the sprite/costume/backdrop/sound was deleted until after another one was deleted. It only lets you restore the last deleted thing.

I also noticed this a few hours ago, it is a new feature! I like it, it's useful, but I kind of miss it not having it, I think it is because sometimes I have to delete a ton of useless sprites (which I get from experimenting).

The Scratchblocks have also changed, and they change to the block mode (original or high contrast) of the editor!

WHAT REALLY????
say [Holy cow!]

Also, I'm about to report this to be stickied.

Finally, I think you can also color links in the forums now: My profile (or could you always, and it was just browser extensions?)

You could do that before, I've done that in my signature for a while.

That's always been possible, but if you have a certain browser extension it adds a button to the editor.

Maybe it would be a good idea to outline the other new features in the OP, since it's a sticky - the deletion confirmation, Scratch 3 blocks on the forums, parents needing to approve their kids email.
