One-Minute Comment Cooldown

Spamming has been a big problem on Scratch, especially on profiles like [Removed]. A comment cooldown of 30-60 seconds would easily stop spammers. I know this is already a thing, but you don’t have to wait a long time. Maybe they should also add a viewable timer? We NEED something like this!

Anyway yes I think scratch should make recommendations about ban speed runners it created a devastating effect in the community

New scratchers already have a cooldown of 30 seconds, a spambot wouldn’t get scratcher status where the cooldown is 5 seconds.

What if u really need to talk to someone? 1 min is kinda a while. How about 25 seconds?

iirc the new scratcher cooldown is 30 seconds but the scratcher cooldown is 10 seconds?

new scratcher's will need a long cool down than full scratchers so
new scratchers should be about 1 min and
full scratchers should be about 0.5 min

So if I want to respond to 5 comments on my profile, I have to wait 5 minutes?

you are a full scratcher so you have to wait at least 2.5 mins

True, but it wouldn’t have to be one minute. It could be something like 30-40 seconds. Also, people have attention spans longer than that.

This suggestion wouldn't fix it tho, and plus it can be fixed, it's not like the bugs return everytime you squash (fix) them

Not everyone. I, personally, don't have a lot of patience–just something I've always lacked. When I go into one of my random New Scratcher accounts, it doesn't take long for me to go back to this account because I quickly get sick of the current cooldown. I think a longer one is just unnecessary.

same here, i just go onto something, then go like “nah, too boring” then go onto something else

True, but most people have attention spans more than a minute.
