Descendents is a skate punk, melodic hardcore, and former surf-punk band from formed in 1977 in Manhattan Beach, California. They are best known for the character Milo: a caricature of the lead singer, Milo Aukerman. Milo appears on the majority of the band's album covers. There are eight studio albums by the band. The band stood out from their local hardcore scene by being more melodic in sound and being much nerdier than the other, hypermasculine bands in the scene. Descendents has influenced bands such as Green Day and Blink-182.

Milo Goes To College is the only LP I've heard by them, but it's one of the best punk records I've ever heard.

That's easily my favorite. Suburban Home is my favorite Descendents song.

Cool to Be You is the most underrated Descendents album imo
