The Scratch Statistics page is broken. Let me explain.

What the Statistics page is supposed to show
If you don't already know, the Statistics page shows information and statistics about the Scratch website, such as how many projects have been created, how many comments were made each month, etc. This data updates daily, however, if you check the page now, the data is outdated.

Community statistics at a glance
First, the “Community statistics at a glance” section hasn't updated since July 13th, as you can see by the ℹ icon. It is normally supposed to update every day.

Website traffic last month
This section tends to break from time to time, showing 0 on all of the statistics, but luckily, it isn't doing this right now. However, it shows that the data was generated on June 2024, two months ago.

Monthly Activity Trends and down
All of these boxes that are bigger than the two at the top all updated July. Usually, all of the data is updated every day, so it should say August if it's already the second day of the month.

So, in summary, the Statistics page data is outdated and isn't updating.

Note: Is this happening for everyone else, or is it just me?

This bug is still present, and this has gotten no replies, so I have to bump this.

iirc this is because mit turned off scratch's automated operations to fix some of the slowdown so they have to be done manually by humans

The Statistics thing is permanently broken because of perfect timing during input of data and power outage to cause data corruption.

No, that’s ScratchDB. What this topic is about is the statistics page on scratch being broken, and that was broken since July 2024.

And to prove this, Scratch's own statistics don't use ScratchDB- they use Google Analytics.
