What is an ‘'utaite’'?
An utaite is someone who covers songs [usually Vocaloid songs] and post them on Nico Nico Douga [a Japanese video sharing site] and YouTube
Some notable examples are Ado, 96neko/Kuroneko, and Mafumafu!
You can find more utaites in the Utaite Wiki on Fandom. [disclaimer: this wiki does not include all of the utaites]

I've never listed to any utaite artists before. I listened to some stuff by Ado and thought it was really mid. Is there anything else you recommend?

I recommend listening to some of the producers who made songs for Ado, such as syudou or MARETU! :)
