All those topics in TIRaP:
ATs edition (it's ATs because programming languages)

If you don't know how this works already, find one of these topics in TIRaP, usually requires no digging.

Any programming language can be badly described here, I have no way of telling if one's your favorite anyway

Should this be in advanced topics?

Here I go: This language is so easy even a baby can understand it. There is not even a real syntax! Declaring a variable is so easy it doesn't even have constant variables!!

(What language do you think it is? It is so easy to guess lol)

Not even a real coding language, never works unless you want to nitpick to find that one semicolon out of place. Basic foundation of a website.

Not a real programming language (not turing complete). Is a subset of another language. Is a massive mess. Looks terrible by itself.

A language so limited it's only ever useful when parsing text. Standardization is minimal; it exists, yes, but different people implemented it in oh so many different ways, sometimes making one dialect stronger than the other.

The asterisk thing happened because the forum filter uses both the old filter that it used before the Forums Update, and the mainsite filter at the same time.

Yes, exactly

No, it's not CSS whoever guessed that.

Perl or perhaps Awk is closer to what I'm describing.

A company decided that a scripting language wasn't good enough so they made it more like their thing instead.

Regex?
if so parsing text is kind of the whole point of it
