Hide thumbnails of deleted project

Recently reported a project that hade really graphic stuff in it, it got deleted but the thumbnail isn’t and so that make the graphic content still visible, make it so when a project get banned, the thumbnail change to a preset thumbnail like the scratch logo or a deleted image icon

Yup, you can still see the thumbnail of a banned project.

This would be useful for keeping banned projects, well, banned.
So basically support.

Most people likely care about this issue but they may not have something good to say without just saying “Support!” That's when you know you have a good suggestion. If your suggestion is really conversational then you would usually have 50 replies in a day.

You posted this today…
Don't expect too many replies on the first day of posting.
However, don't expect too less too!

Even in one day it has got 4 replies, maybe it will get more.

^ This is a valid question and it wasn't answered? I have the same question. If a project is censored, it gets removed from the website. In particular, there is no way to click on a project to access it. So where are you seeing the thumbnail?

In the case that I witnessed was that I had favourited a game,
a shooting game to be exact
So it showed on my favourite projects on my profile,
a few days later I checked my favourite projects for fun
the project was still there and so was the thumbnail,
but when I clicked on it, it was gone. (keep in mind that the thumbnail was a gun)

What could this possible be? A glitch, maybe?

This is based on what happened to me, idk about what the OP writer experienced though.
P.S that project is now erased from my favourites, but the glitch still exists.

OH, i didn't get it, sorry. this is an issue for the “search” feature, project don't get immediately removed from search (if you click on them you get 404 still though), when the indexer updates i think it make them go away? but they still can be there for quite a while, like i said, it can be REALLY useful if the project thumbnail has graphic content in it.

Are either of these a caching issue? If so, it just means that it will just take a bit of time to update the fact that the project was removed.

I'm not convinced that hiding the thumbnail would necessarily work in this sense. I wonder if the website issue that is preventing the project from being hidden in the first place is likely the same issue that would prevent the thumbnail from changing. Perhaps in this case the suggestion should really be “Ensure that censored projects get removed from the website completely” rather than just changing the thumbnail?

the project i reported was pretty graphic, animal gore, i think maybe that can scare a small child, it's probably better that at least the thumbnail is hidden as fast as possible and doesn't take a week to go away.

Also, you can see the image on https://mv-ezproxy-com.ezproxyberklee.flo.org (the original image (your pfp) link appears to have unsuitable language???, please explain this ;-;) and put it in into an image since scratch is a whitelisted image holder.

yes, that's why it would be better to have the thumbnails remplaced instead of keeped

If a deleted project gets on the explore page before it's deleted, the thumbnail is still visible.

I mean where can you see deleted projects thumbnail? Are you talking about on things like the trending page?
