This may be a silly idea, but whatever

It may be fun to do a cat takeover for April fools. What I mean by that, is just cats everywhere.

By that, I just mean cats sitting on top of comments, buttons, and thumbnails for projects. They wouldn't cover up any words/images, there would just be… Cats.

Maybe paw prints could could be in certain areas and claw marks as well

It would also be a good chance to bring back the cat blocks for a day.

MAYBE people who have the word, cat/kitten in their username would have more cats on their profile. People with the word dog/puppy would have less, because dogs scare away cats. If they have both, then neither would be applied

I don't think the cats could be interactable, because it may lag things too much. I dunno lol

Why cats? They're a common pet. And I know at least one ST member has a cat. Besides, Scratch's mascot is a cat! They've done cat blocks before anyway

Wouldn't this confuse people? Yes, I'm sure it would. But people would relize it's April fools and could tell other people who aren't quite sure.
ST could also send out a message saying, “Sorry about all the cats! {Insert reason for cats (Could be real reason ((april fools)) Or a made-up one)}. We're doing our best to solve this issue!”
Although, messages from ST are usually accosiated with negitive things, so I dunno

Is this a bad suggestion? Let me know. I just thought about it, and I wonder what other people think about it

This would also bring laughter or at least a smile to younger viewers, and scratch is made for younger viewers.
They're many upsides, but no downsides

The “more cats if cat in username” is still a maybe for me. I'm not entirely sure on it. Although, if it was added, perhaps not removing any cats if they had the word, ‘dog’ in their username, so nothing would be taken away

I do love the idea of having a joke reason for the cats. A few more I thought of were, “Scratch Cat invited a few friends!”, “We left the door to the website open and all of these cats got in!”, “It was ‘bring your cat to work day’s and they all got loose!”, and “We had a mouse infestation, so we brought in a bunch of cats. The mice are gone, but the cats are still here.”

So basically LOLCATZ all over again.

All I want for christmas is you april fools day is something other than the forums getting being evacuated & more fun & community driven things, even an silly animation of scratch cat fighting aliens would be better than what we had last year

I doubt this would ever be implemented but, it'd just be nice to have little events across the site that change one thing or another, like that one dream i had where scratch turned old school.
