seen some cases where ppl needed to Google translate/ pull out their inner senses
allows faster cross language response
new pro: gets rid of the other language forums and so less server strain???

I agree with pasta_enjoyer7's concern. GT is notoriously inaccurate in non-roman languages, often completely missing the point and mistranslating entire sentences to an awkward unreadable mess

Until there is a free API translation service that is completely perfect, I don't think this suggestion could work

1. Google translate or every translator is quite wrong at most time
2. And then, if it’s wrong, the filter might wrongly detect words, resulting in a normal thing not getting posted
3. You still need to translate your post into their language

GT also sometimes just refuses to translate swears, which means some swears might get by

That's just Scratch's translate extension. I've translated swears in Google Translate just fine before.

That's just Scratch's translate extension. I've translated swears in Google Translate just fine before.

Maybe in some languages… GT generally tries to keep translations “professional”… (I've tried putting in vulgar non english sentences and it usually omits the swears)

We probably shouldn't trust the actual translator saying it's the best. An unbiased source would probably be better (ex. multiple websites talking about DeepL)

DeepL is accurate… but it suffers the “not only omotting swears, but omotting entire sentences whenever it feels like it”
