"Use current window as thumbnail"

Thumbnails for projects are a pretty solid aspect of a Scratcher's project, but it's not really treated as such. I propose that the editor have an option to capture whatever is in the current window of the editor, and use that frame as the thumbnail for the project for the entirety of its existence, or until the creator decides to change it. This would eliminate the annoyance of the auto-save feature over-writing thumbnails..

This is also annoying if you use a graphic effect: when you press stop (or save apparently) all the effects are reset.

This seems like a great idea, especially if you can have the project take the thumbnail picture while in a high intensity area, where your project is flashiest.

but the real problem under this it's the (glitchy) autosave feature!
If there's no salvage autosave, you would be able to re-save the project exactly where you want.

^ In addition to what PERCE is saying, I think that if this feature were to be implemented, the autosave feature would have to be modified to remove its ability to save thumbnails!

Yeaaahh, that's really annoying sometimes whenever I edit something, and the thumbnail turns into some strange thing that has weird things that I have hidden or something.
I think I found a way around that, just get the thumbnail out, then save it twice, and it might save as thumbnail.

I wanted to make a tiny change to my project, and then decided not to. So I deleted the sprite, and it automatically saved and my whole project thumbnail got ruined, making me have to go back into the project, re-show the whole thumbnail, and make other changes in my project in order for it to save again so that my thumbnail would show.
Funny, I was actually just going to make a topic similar to this.
