In this specific context, I was regarding the war, not Jewish People in general. from the thing p-p-p-p-p-p-p-p-p-p- wrote
“The emoji is not in support of Jewish people, it's in support of ending anti-semitism”
isnt supporting jewish people and ending antisemitism the same thing??

They have the same reasons as adults, whatever they are. Children have no reason to be mad at the ST for political values anyways,
You'd be surprised. and if it's an adult they would be foolish to associate the emoji with the war.

I mean a child doesn't have any authority to say that a group of adults is making the wrong political decisions, especially younger kids. By the point they have a brain developed enough to make their own moral political decisions, they would classify as an adult in this case. They have the same reasons as adults, whatever they are. Oh I know that plenty of people aren't always very smart about this, that's why I said they would be foolish. They have the same reasons as adults, whatever they are. Yeah, some people are afraid of symbols. (Not targeting a specific political party, it goes both ways, and not for everyone)

Now, don't shout at me if I'm dreadfully incorrect but:
Wouldn't this possibly cause political flame wars? I get the idea but it might be used for… other stuff… on the website, especially on wacky places like griffpatch's profile. That's just my opinion, though.

No, it's a blue square. It only means end anti semetism, there's really no argument against that in which isn't already reportable. And the emoji doesn't help those arguments in any way. Now, don't shout at me if I'm dreadfully incorrect but:

This seems to be a general issue worldwide - people are increasingly sensitive to topics and opinions that even distantly relate to any current war or controversial political event. I feel like this would also happen with something as simple as a blue square, so semi-supportwelcome to America -_-#23wait reallyYou'd be surprised. and if it's an adult they would be foolish to associate the emoji with the war.

It's a logical fallacy to assume that if the Scratch Team implements one suggestion to support a minority group, they are immediately obligated to do the same for every single group on the planet. And I don't think it would even be a big deal if it causes other users to make suggestions to support more diversity. Do you? It's a good idea that might be implemented, but then it begs the question of what other emojis to show support should be added.
No, I don't believe so. We have BLM and LGBTQ+ emojis, yet there are not flame wars over those groups' validity to exist. I don't think a blue square would be much different. Now, don't shout at me if I'm dreadfully incorrect but:

When I said “flame wars” involving LGBTQ+, I just meant brutal arguments on Scratch. I wasn't referring to actual wars in real life with flamethrowers or anything like that. there hasn't been an lgbtq+ war yet there's been a lot of wars regarding jews

They want to add a blue square emoji to Scratch because it represents ending Anti-Semitism (unfair racism toward Jewish people). Does that make sense? What is this for I don’t get it?

Some feelings are inexplicable. I suppose because I feel many of them, too many of them, but the emotions that most enthrall me are the erratic ones that sit under the surface, intensely felt but indescribable. They are the feelings that cannot be boxed up in easy adjectives, but a current of both physical and emotional sensitivity that sweep me into wordlessness. I guess I can't show my support or why I support it in writing, but I guess it's because blue is better than putpleSupport
