Note, this topic is not intended as a defense or accusation of Israel or Palestine I personally believe that both sides are in the wrong. If your intention is to turn this discussion political in any way I ask that you rethink your reply. While the conflict going on in that region is horrific that is not the topic of this suggestion. My intention is to suggest a way to support the Jewish community on Scratch. With that said here's the actual suggestion…
It is an unfortunate reality that hate crimes and other acts of antisemitism are on the rise at least in the US as a Jew who has had experienced and witnessed harassment based on my religion, I often find that very little is done about it primarily because of how few Jews there are worldwide. Recently there has been a movement against Anti-Semitism centered around posting the blue square emoji. I believe that Scratch should show its support for its Jewish community by adding the blue square emoji…

(#2)As far as I know the Scratch Team probably won't add full Unicode support maybe something like _Bluesquare_
adding it as in accepting the unicode of it or making their own blue square emoji?

It's a good idea that might be implemented, but then it begs the question of what other emojis to show support should be added.

I don't think they can do this….
thry could add their own emoji, but really? just a blue square?
Emojis beyond the BMP are not supported. The Scratch site supports the Basic Multilingual Plane (BMP), which contains characters for almost all modern languages, and a large number of symbols, which include a few emojis which can be used in text fields. These might not render as emojis on every platform.

In June 2021, _pride_, (a drawing of a waving progress flag) and _blm_ (a drawing of three fists of different skin tones) were added. They were added for use in discussions involving the LGBTQ+ community and anti-racism respectively.I think that a blue square could serve a similar purpose for discussions relating to the Jewish community…

Would there similarly be some sort of emoji showing support for Muslims in Palestine?

No, because there is no symbol for Muslims in Palestine. Additionally, the OP mentions that the emoji is not supporting people in Israel, it's supporting Jews worldwide who suffer from antisemitism. Would there similarly be some sort of emoji showing support for Muslims in Palestine?

Understood, thanks — so this is a suggestion for general support, without regards to ongoing international conflicts. Additionally, the OP mentions that the emoji is not supporting people in Israel, it's supporting Jews worldwide who suffer from antisemitism.
That being said, I worry that due to international conflicts, adding such an emoji at this time could cause others to believe that the Scratch Team is taking a side in this conflict (even if the intent of the emoji is not related to this specific conflict).

(#11)Yeah that's the only problem Isee here and the reason I have to put a note a to stop people from making this political at the start of the op…Understood, thanks — so this is a suggestion for general support, without regards to ongoing international conflicts. The emoji is not in support of Jewish people, it's in support of ending anti-semitism. If somebody uses the emoji to talk about jewish people in general, they're using the emoji wrong. Understood, thanks — so this is a suggestion for general support, without regards to ongoing international conflicts.

Children have no reason to be mad at the ST for political values anyways, and if it's an adult they would be foolish to associate the emoji with the war.

I support, anti-semitism is not ok, and America has a racism problem.
The only issue is that people might take this the wrong was and think Scratch is picking sides with this war.
