He's a super mysterious character from Undertale: he's only mentioned in certain random events that have like a 5% chance of happening per playthrough. Despite barely existing at all, he's part of nearly every UT/DR fan theory because nobody knows much of anything about him. He's also made an appearance on the official Undertale Tw¡tter and probably the vessel creation screen of Deltarune.

It's mostly fan theories and idk how much is canon but I'll explain the gist of what I know.

So from what I know, Gaster was the royal scientist before Alphys, he was the one who made the CORE. But he fell into his creation and was erased from time and space. Now there's only pieces of him spread across the CORE, which his followers have. He's known for writing and/or speaking in the wingdings font, as seen in his Entry 17. People think that the Mystery Man in waterfall may be Gaster but it's unconfirmed what he actually looks like
