scratch.new

A redirect URL to create a new project. Basically just a quicker way instead of typing scratch.mit.edu/create (which brings up tutorials with it too)

So instead of a new domain, maybe they could repurpose an existing domain like scratch.pizza, or scratch.love? Or scratch.mit.edu/new/ ?

Can't press the Create button if you're not on Scratch.

I can’t find the price of a .new domain, but it is certainly another price the ST would have to pay each year.
Given how they’re non profit, it wouldn’t be to great.

Support! Its useful for people saying “meh. i wanna go on scratch but i'm only using it for creating a project. i don't wanna type in scratch.mit.edu/projects/editor, since that will take a bit long”

It's not that hard to go to literally any Scratch page and hit the “create” button.

I’m aware. Please reread the post.
What i said is they’d have to buy a new domain. I never stated they have a .new domain.

Why would they buy a new domain for projects-

Why would they buy a new domain for projects-
The OP is stating they believe the ST should buy scratch.new
That would be a new domain, and separate site according to the public WHOIS. As such, new domain. new.scratch.mit.edu wouldn’t work, as its also not scratch.new. They wouldn’t have to buy a new domain, but it still isn’t scratch.new, which is what the OP is suggesting. Scratch.new they would HAVE to buy for this suggestion.

I don’t see a reason to buy an entire domain just as a redirect to editor

⭐ ;; it's not hard tho?? just search scratch, click “create” and boom new project
I think youre just a bit lazy if you think it takes forever.
