if mods would only be able to edit code or edit costumes not create new sounds, costumes or sprites that sounds possible.

when mods aren't compatible ( if you mean two mods trying to change the same costume, sound, or script, etc. ) then the mod that's above in the list will get to change it to what its trying to change it into. or if one mod deleted something and another wants to edit it, the mod that is going to delete something has to be above the latter so it can delete it, only if it isn't already below a mod that's trying to change it. so it would work like minecraft addons (minecraft addons are just as capable at adding content as java mods)

VERY MUCH SUPPORT! I have wanted to add mods to my projects, and there could be a physics mod so you can make physics games, a tile based starter mod to make tile based games, and even a mod for 3d platformers! If this existed, i would be getting lots of mods and might be making my own! i love the idea, and i hope ST implements at least something like that.

What if you have an mod that is up-to-date and a mod that is not up-to-date?

Semi Support, this sometimes can break, but on the other hand nice feature.

I feel like any way you do it you will have trouble with merging even a single mod if the original code has changed, it seems like there are just too many possibilities, and fine details that could get super screwed up.
