1. What is this?

This is a modded minecraft server for Java Edition 1.19.2. It uses many forge mods to run. Are you confused? Thats okay. A mod is some Java code that a developer uses to make cool new add-ons and features to a base game. Then, they publish the code to a website like CurseForge or Modrinth so that users around the world can have fun! Is modding allowed? Sure it is! Mojang's EULA on https://www.minecraft.net/en-us/eula says:

What minecraft is trying to say is, Mods are allowed, but copying their code inside of a mod isn't.

2. What mods do we have?
We have a pretty decently large variety of mods. Here, I'll name them all and tell what they do.

• Aquaculture – This mod adds new types of fish, fishing rods, and even Neptunium armor!
  
  
• Chat Heads – This mod makes chat messages show the minecraft skin face of the sender.
  
  
• JEI – This mod shows crafting recipes and makes all of the modded items make more sense.
  
  
• L_Ender's Cataclysm – This mod adds five new custom bosses that add an extra challenge to the game.
  
  
• Oh, the Biomes You'll Go – This mod adds many new blocks including wood types, and 70+ more amazing biomes!
  
  
• OreExcavation – This mod lets you mine full veins of ore and full trees by breaking one block. It can be toggled on and off. It helps take your time away from mining and lets you focus on building and exploring.
  
  
• Origins – This is the big one. It adds 9 different origins for the player to chose from once they join.
  
  
• Origins Accessibilities – This mod adds helpful tools and potions that you can craft for specific origins.
  
  
• Waystones – This final mod adds stones that you can teleport between. It makes travel easier and more fitting for a server like this.
  

Of course, these mods need other mods to keep them running properly. These other mods are as follows.

• Balm – Helps Waystones.
  
  
• Caelus – Helps Origins.
  
  
• Citadel – Helps L_Ender's Cataclysm
  
  
• Cloth Config – Helps Chat Heads.
  
  
• CorgiLib – Helps Oh the Biomes You'll Go.
  
  
• GeckoLib – Helps Oh the Biomes You'll Go.
  
  
• Terrablender – Helps Oh the Biomes You'll Go.
  

sidenote: since this is a forge server, you might as well get Optifine.

3. How do I join?
First, you will have to get the mods listed above. You will need to run them with Forge, not fabric. Read post #4 for a detailed explanation of how to get the mods. Then, ask me or -TheEmptyVoidOfSpace to whitelist you to the server by asking and telling us your minecraft username. We have a whitelist so that no hackers or bad people can join. Here is the IP to join:

Again, only Java edition users can join, sorry.

4. What are the server rules?

Keep in mind that this is a peaceful server.

• Don't do or say anything which would not be allowed on Scratch.
  
• Don't intentionally grief or steal other players' builds, items, mobs, etc.
  
• Don't intentionally prevent others from playing the game (examples being setting spawn under an end portal or box trapping).
  
• Don't start wars.
  
• Don't PVP without permission from all participants (since there is no war).
  
• No lavacasts or intentional Explosion holes everywhere (its ugly).
  
• No duping, hacking, or intentionally lagging the server.
  
• Don't spam the chat.
  
• Use common sense! Just because something is not on the list does not mean it should be done.

7/17/2023: Forum thread and server created.

7/18/2023: Server host is now -TheEmptyVoidOfSpace.

7/18/2023: Server opened.

7/22/2023: This was one of the first days with a lot of players online. Also. the Nether was reached for the first time (by _NovaNebula_).

7/24/2023: The ender dragon was defeated by Skadoodly23 with help from TrioSALAD.

7/31/2023: Iron farm was created by DuWeido, made from a villager farm by _NovaNebula_.

Method 1

Step 1: go to https://www.curseforge.com/download/app and download the standalone app (or the app via Overwolf, it doesn't matter). SCROLL DOWN FOR MAC DEVICES! FOR LINUX THE APP EXISTS BUT IT ONLY HAS MODS FOR WoW.

Step 2: once it is downloaded, open the app. Set it up for Minecraft mods if you need to.

Step 3: Then, at the top, go to “Browse Modpacks”. In the search bar, look up “Nova's Origins & Adventure” and hit enter. Locate my modpack that should have a picture of a green, blue, and gray circle with an N in it.

Step 4: Click the orange “Install” button next to the Nova's Origins & Adventure Modpack.

Step 5: Click back to “My Modpacks” at the top and wait for it to install.

Step 6: Press the orange play button under the pack and minecraft should launch (it probably will need to download update files). If the launcher icon is gray, that's ok. You may also need to sign into the launcher, in which case, do so.

Step 7: Launch Minecraft with this launcher and make sure that there is a furnace icon to the left of the launch button.

Step 8: If you are whitelisted already, you should be able to just type in the IP and join! I can't wait to see you!

Method 2

Step 1: Download the most recent version of Java and Forge 43.1.1 for 1.19.2 from their websites. A tutorial on how to do that is here. Obviously, I didn't make the video so the credit for that goes to the guy who did.

Step 2: Manually download the mods from my list I'VE INCLUDED LINKS IN THE 5TH POST AS WELL AS THE VERSION YOU NEED

Step 3: Open file explorer and go to your .minecraft folder inside of %appdata%.

Step 4: Put the mod jar files you just got into the mods folder. If there is no mods folder, make one and title it “mods” all lowercase, no quotes.

Step 5: launch minecraft with your forge installation (if you dont have one make one) and join the server.
