It's .edu for educational, so they won't change it.

i dont know what it is, but something about “scratch.mit.edu” rolls off the tongue for me. Scratch.fun is boring even if the domain name says otherwise and the name would make it look like some sort of game website so schools would block it. And scratch is meant to teach kids code, so that wouldn't be very good if it was blocked.

Well the .mit part is necessary as the Scratch is part of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (mit) and the .edu is self explanatory at this point. well i have no problem with .edu, but i would prefer scratch.edu rather than scratch.mit.edu

Isn't Scratch more designed for education than fun?

I tried going to the already existing scratch.fun site so you don't have to and it led to something weird lol

I don’t support. .edu makes it so schools don't block scratch and recognize that it’s an educational website.
Plus mit.edu just sounds better in my opinion.

Generally, schools use Scratch for educational purposes, and if ST were to rename the site’s url, many schools would no longer trust the site and block it. It would also raise legal issues as well.
No support. Scratch is for education.

No support. This has no use. Also there seems to be a website called that and it's blocked on my phone.
