I feel like we should have the option to customize the theme of our profile/projects, for example, instead of the plain white theme, we can have a light blue theme for everyone to see, I think this would be an excellent idea because some places like Discord, Cocrea, and Itch.io have this, the possibilities with the themes are almost endless

I honestly believe we don't need this, we get to feature one of our projects, do some weird i-wanna-look-cool stuff in our AM / WIWO, which in my opinion is enough.

this would allow for impersonation if you dont get to nab your own link in time.

I support this suggestion because it allows for users to have more freedom with managing their account displays and also will let me make my profile “aesthetic” or whatever. It allows for just a little bit more unique-ness for every user.

Yes, Scratch is for education, but it is also a community for people to share their creations and find people with other interests. It has been labelled as a “pseudo-social media site”. If Scratch only supported education, then why would there even be comments and profiles? Why are people allowed to share art and games which don't contribute to anyone's education? Why are there featured and trending projects? Why is there an ability to like projects and follow people?
Just because Scratch allows people to learn to code doesn't mean it is just for that. Personalisation lets users explore their creativity and interests. And how are schools affected by other people making their profile a different colour? Teachers are using it to teach coding and typically only use the coding side. Just because there's a button saying “edit profile” won't make them lose their memory of how to use a computer. If suggestions were only to serve education, then half of the already-existing ones would be closed.

Not everybody uses it for educational purposes, but I think this would complicate the site; as nice as having an aesthetic profile can be, some people could just abuse the feature to use bright colors and kill our eyes

I support choosing ONE colour and having a background gradient fade out from the top, and possibly colour the navbar that colour too.
